ok, so i am thinking of doing a MHRB extraction for my first time but i have a few questions.

i was thinking of trying this Erowid Mimosa (Jurema) Vault : DMT for the Masses
but when i get to step 7 and i have my naphtha in a jar, can i skip the wash and freeze and just pour it out to evaporate?

also i am having trouble finding a container to use, what do you guys use for 250g mhrb

yes you could but let me just say this, it is WELL worth the freeze precip. if you did not get any material in your naptha, just evap to 50% original vol, and stick in freezer. you should see PURE crystals forming within 2 hours, then the next morning, say 24-36 hours, your container will be COVERED. then just pour off the naptha back in to your solution to reuse, and air dry with a fan the container you used for freeze precip. you will not regret the extra day you spent. as opposed to evapping, the crystals will be pure white. if you choose to evap you will get yellow goo 90% of the time, which is not as appealing to the eye, and not as easy on the lungs. if you are using this for personal, and don't mind a rough smoke, and etc. then just evap, but let me say the evap will take just as long... how about this, take half your pulls and evap them. the other half freeze precip. then you won't have to take anybody else's word on it, you can make a decision for yourself. good luck!

If you are just going for the evap you dont need to freeze the naptha first. But you'll prolly want to do some purification afterwards which will require you freeze. Freezing just causes the material to condense out of the naptha since you are evapping it will natually condense as there will be less and less till there is no naptha.

do i have to clean it up or will it be fine to smoke after evap? not dangerous is what im asking.

and im not sure if the turkey baster i have is hdpe, is that ok?

It is highly reccomended you use all glass equipment. Chemicals can leech out contaminants from plastic. I always used pyrex ware for this I also had a HDPE turkey baster however but the liquid isnt in the baster for long at all. Compared to other containers where the solution can spend days or weeks for those who are having trouble. This is when the big issue of what the container is made up of comes to light. If you have goo it isnt pure. now the contaminants might not be all too toxic there's no way to know for sure. The only way you will know you have a pure product is if it is crystalized. Even then it wont be 100% but it will be well within the acceptable range. So if after your evap you see white crystals then you should be fairly fine. Personally I would still do one purification process but you can just skip it. If it's goo definately do the purfication your prolly not going to be able to handle the smoke so your just wasting your hard earned product. Sometimes goo isnt bad but there's no real way to tell for sure. With crystals you know the purity is quite high.


People are eager and they are lazy they want to get there now. I am here to tell you if you smoke a raunchy contaminated brew not only will it hurt you but it will also make getting the required amount of spice to break thru all that much more difficult. Spice is harsh enough but adding lye, tannins and other contaminants make it nearly impossible to hold for your lungs to absorb.
