Very Interesting Idea. Hope it works out well. I think this should be done carefully. The last thing we need is someone of authority stumbling across a site like this.

I'm hoping that an authority wouldn't care about the site. It would be for legal items only. Would I be taking a risk making this site? I don't see why it would be a problem, people give away things on craigslist all the time. Am I gonna have to hire a lawyer? I don't want to spend time setting this up only to get an e-mail to tear it down. Anyone on here a lawyer or have an info for me? Thanks.
 
This is a terrific idea! Such a website could make obtaining rare entheogens/strains much less painstaking. Hopefully this would encourage the development of more hybrid Trichocereus strains which I have recently become interested in.

I don't see how this would be a problem at all as long as only legal items are traded. the fact that the site would include members in multiple states and nations would probably deter most people from trying to shut it down, unless there is something very seriously illegal going on (which there wouldn't).

There are website that send cannabis seeds into America and they would likely be taken down before a nonprofit website harboring the trade of legal goods.

I will probably start with just a forum and then start programming in PHP. I have a bit of experience with web design so I think I could pull it off. I'll definetly be giving away free stuff in the states. I can have it up by this weekend and start sending different seeds out next weekend.

All I really need now is a name for the website. The site's "mission statement" will involve the expansion of the knowledge and cultivation of exotic and entheogenic plants. :arrow: Anyone want to suggest a site name:?:

Sorry if I came across the wrong way. I simply meant that the wrong person could make a big deal about it. 'damn druggies drug dealing again! Using them internets to trade their druggggss.' Idk. Was just a thought. I doubt it will be an issue as it was already stated this will be legal trades only. Just a bit paranoid I suppose.

I love the name.
 
Inspiring name! I was also thinking ExoticEarthExchange.
The trading will probably run through PM's untill I can re-learn some PHP and program a trading/donation system. I should be able to have a ranking system though.

Maybe the Ethno in Ethnoshare would be better to be changed for a stealthier word ? I dont think think that other people complaining about it will be an issue.
Until all users of such a website comply to their country's controlled substance law act everything will be fine, and even if some people would to trade illegal items,
they would be the ones prosecuted .There's a very simple example of a good trading website, Mycotopia.net ,they used to have a great trading website ,until they changed everything
so now you have to pay 25$ to become a vip and trade.I traded stuff for years on the Mycotopia but since the owner Hippi3 died ,his wife changed things around.

That's why its really important we have such a website.Trading stuff is a great experience and giving stuff away is great too.

oh yeah i forgot ,the ranking system will be the most important thing

And last thing ,it is imperative we dont use our usernames from this forum.
 
Exactly, we can't use the same user names. I have a pretty solid terms of service so I'm not worried.
I spent all night last night looking for hosting and domains and php scripts. I found almost everything I need! This site is also for other non-phycedelilc exotic plants, so that's my reasoning for the name.

But i think it would be better if there was another website with the same goal. the more, the merrier. besides, the site that TrustLove's working on will also have a lot of Nexians, so it will be like a familiar community.

I think that link is dead. It said the server was down or something. Anyways, I still want to make the site since I've already spent the time on it. I'm hitting the bank tomorrow, then I can buy the domain and hosting. I still need to decide on the set-up of thread folders but I'm thinking of having a nexus nursery clone. I want full members that act like the nexians so I may require an intro or something until people can donate/trade. When the forum is up, I'll have a section for forum suggestions.
I wouldn't mind if only a select few people from the nexus join up. As long as some people get some use out of it. I'll be giving away stuff so at least people will get something out of it. Peace out:arrow:
 
Awesome TrustLoveMan ,cant wait till you have the forum up and running, i also think that you should stipulate in the rules
that from whichever forum you come, you cannot use the same username.
