Hi,

Supposing one was to freeze precipitate their spice out of naptha using a freezer set at -70oC, would one expect to have complete fallout of spice crystals in a very short amount of time, or would it still be an overnight kind of thing given that it takes time for the crystals to form irregardless of how fast the spice falls out of the solvent?

Thanks,

In my experience best results appear when I gradualy cool down the naphta, I think one is aiming for about -20C.

Me too.

Don't forget if something forms quickly in a solution containing other impurities then those impurities will become trapped in the structure of the crystal, whereas if the crystals form slowly this is less likely to happen.
