You're being too optimistic. The image cannabis has is that using it is a non-WASP type of activity, so that seals the faith of every related bill in this regard.BananaForeskin said:I agree with Steely, long-term, this is probably a good thing... if only because a lot of people who think of marijuana as evil might be forced to think twice once doctors recommend Schedule III synth-THC to them.
I think getting irritated about the DEA's hyprocrisy is irrelevant. It was demonstrated so long ago that getting upset now seems a bit unnecessary... Also, not to be the devil's advocate, but I'd like to see more about this issue! This guy obviously has his own views on the subject, I'd like to see more takes on the story.
On a positive note, the Seattle Times has an anti-prohibition article in it nearly every week! The Seattle city head attorney dude even wrote one... and to my knowledge, a bill has been filed in the WA legislature which would remove state penalties for marijuana for non-minors. It's a-comin'!

When latino's are finally a majoryity in the USA it still won't become legal, because they will listen to what the pope (you know, the headmaster of the roman pedophiles with the funny little hat) has to say about it.
Look at it this way: alcohol is illegal in the arab world because it has a western image. Every substance of wich the use is considered to be 'alien' to the tribes involved in governing a nation, will become and stay illegal.
Until jamaicans are a majority in america, cannabis will not become legal there.
The state says I can legally possess, use, and grow cannabis. (They even allow the legal distribution to care givers and patients as long as you're covering grow costs and not making tons of profit)
I don't think it matters what the feds say or think at this point. I light up joints in public places (that still allow tobacco smoking) and couldn't care less.
same here, I think.. I'm pretty sure where I live there are more dispensaries than liquor stores, it's pretty ubiquitous round these parts of high elevation..۩ said:The state says I can legally possess, use, and grow cannabis.
