Funny pictures.

Migrated topic.
Do you know who the artist is? I've a friend who has produced works similar to this, at least in terms of the resulting silhouettes.
Sorry, I have no idea. It's just something I saw on a blog I follow, and it looked fun to share.

Edit: Here you go. AI search magic is scary these days.

Thanks for finding this - now we'll have to see if said friend already knows about it…

Northape, funny I was just thinking about the Buddha and how almost all of the statues depict him as a fat and very Indian/Asian looking person. But Siddhartha Gautama, the actual human who became enlightened and renamed as Buddha is almost always depicted as thin and not so Indian/Asian looking. There are also images of Siddhartha Gautama with green and or blue eyes. Green and blue eyes are not common in Indian/Asian men. Not sure what to make of any of this, but I find it puzzling.

The “Fat Buddha” you might see in East Asian restaurants was a historical Chinese monk named Budai:

As for the western-looking depictions of the historical Buddha, I imagine they might have something to do with the influence of ancient Greek sculpture on Buddhist art:
