Very subtle, I like it
It's an AI remake of some old version of it. It hits the point very well. Somehow I remembered a story from Osho:Very subtle, I like it
Two Buddhist monks, a senior monk and a young novice, were traveling together. They came to a river where they saw a very beautiful young woman sitting on the bank, who was unable to cross because the water was high and the current was strong.
She asked the monks if they could help her cross the river.
The young novice was shocked and immediately turned away. Monks had taken a vow not to touch a woman, and even to avoid looking directly at one.
However, the senior monk, without a word, simply picked the woman up, carried her across the river on his shoulders, and gently set her down on the opposite bank. He then went on his way.
The two monks continued their journey in silence for a long time—an hour passed, then two, then three. The young novice was growing more and more agitated, unable to contain his turmoil.
Finally, he burst out, "Brother, how could you do that? As monks, we have taken a solemn vow not to touch a woman! You picked her up and carried her! It is against all the rules!"
The senior monk looked at the novice, smiled gently, and replied,
"I put the woman down hours ago at the edge of the river. It seems you are still carrying her."
She asked the monks if they could help her cross the river.

To be fair, in SE Asia most monks are sent there by their parents so they can be monks for a couple of years and marry afterwards. Men who have been monks for a couple of years are considered more suitable for marriage.
