Afternoon all every since Ive started growing carnivorous plants Ive been having a greater interesting in making my ethno garden.

So far on my list I have currently growing Lophophora williamsii, Mushies (B+ and Penis Envy), mimosa pudica, lots of CP's, Catnip, Thornless Blackberry and some MJ.

So far I have on the way Salvia divinorum cutting, BLUE PASSION FLOWER Passiflora Caerulea seeds, LITHOPS JULII - seeds, VOACANGA AFRICANA 45-50 seeds, Aconitum Napellus, TOOTHACHE PLANT seeds Spilanthes Acmella /Oleracea, and Atropa Belladonna. All will be started as soon I receive them. The Salvia and Ibogane plants will be placed in deepwater (bubbler) hydronponics.

I'm still on the search for B.Caapi plant, Chaliponga, psychotria viridis, and a spice blood line I just don't think I would be able to provide enough room to grow a full Mimosa tree but would love any suggestions and comment so far. Also everything will be grown inside.

Id grow a mimosa tree anyway, it can be done indoors..even if you can only harvest a small ammount of root in 5 years or so it is still an awesome tree to grow..get a good grow light area set up and put a mimosa there and throw in a bunch of your other plants..

I would look into some acacai species with high tryptamine levels in the phyllodes..and then grasses.

Maybe so but IMO the spirit of Mimosa is an ancient sacred teacher. Sure DMT is DMT... but there is a spirit in Mimosa that is unique. I've learned much from her. I wouldn't just overlook it that easily.

Can't speak for the tree itself, but you would likely have minimal root growth for the simple fact that the tree would not need to venture for water/nutrients. Typically hydroponics seems better suited for encouraging vegetative growth, since the plant needn't route energy to grow roots. Even if the solution could be kept at the proper nutrient/pH level, it wouldn't have much ROI.

However, I have heard an interesting idea involving Mimosa and a perforated pot, such as a very large orchid pot, anchored in a larger pot full of something porous like perlite (perhaps a 80/20 perlite/soil mix to avoid using liquid nutes?). Once the tree reaches a certain size, where roots begin to venture outside the inner pot, the outer mixture is watered and possibly fertilized, encouraging root growth. When mature for harvest, the inner pot can be removed, cut back, and reseated. Rinse and repeat.
I cannot confirm the viability of this option but may try something similar. Good luck with your garden!

Wow thanks for the lovely information Relent! Definitely will keep that in mind since I was expecting to just have a ridiculously large system to support the tree.

Im more concerned on the Iboga plant due to its heat requirements has anyone had any success cultivating at home?

Earlier in my room i grew M.Hostilis in current three years. This was the most beautiful from my trees indoor! It was the spreading ball by height 1 meter with harmonious located branches. But because of limited of the free place in room in that time i happened to from it to refuse. Under such size of the krone root were very small, their dry weight turned out to be around 10g! And this that they were found in container with the soil value 20L.
The soil mixture i specially formed the poor, become soft to force the root to grow more. But this did not help.
Single that i have not added in mixture - a stone, piece of the granite etc.

Similarly quite small root were and beside several D.Illinoensis, which why-that grew worse than Mimosa.

For all these plants (as well as for A.Longifolia, A.Obtusifolia) i added in ground when boarding powder containing nitrogen fixative bacterias. (Purchased in French shop B&T... ) - Don't forgot do it.

In total i migrate on grow plants, which give the harvest a sheets.

^that is great news for me! Concidering I have more than 10 mimosa trees that I grow outdoors all summer and indoors all winter..10g of rootbark per tree is fine by me! They are 1 year old now and the tallest are 4 feet so in 4-5 years I will start to harvest the roots but not so much that I really harm the tree. If I can get 10g of rootbark per tree every year that would be a huge step in going sustainable with my ayahuasca drinking. Combined with my phalaris and acacia's this might all work out in the end.

There is also some old stuff in the entheogen review by "the gnostic" who was growing mimosa and claimed the leaves were very active at 2 cups of dry leaf(with MAOI), not powdered either..More clear than the rootbark apparently. Cant say really how true this is though but if it is true than that is great.

No, no, i have reported that 10g - a dry weight ALL root! Accordingly, rootbark - far less (I not even became to separate and weight this, i think that this can be around 0.5g ) - Sad that so little! If you want, i can post photo of this my root.
But good news in that that outdoors and in approaching condition they look and grow by leaps and bounds, consequently and root more powerful.
Wanted hear of your get prettier the result later!

I have already tried to conduct the experimental extraction A/B with 5g sheet my A.Obtus to make sure in right choices.
- On output i have got the yellowish film to oils with very pleasing scent and weight approximately 10mg. (This corresponds to expected 0.2% )

In prospect me much interests Acacia acuminata as the source to spices in sheet.
What Acacia you grow?

Oh, if i shall else say that come to do new grow-box 1.75L x 0.6W x 2.6H (meters) with two mobile shelvings + LED lights 2 x 160w... :thumb_up:
But this will get ready only in two years, earlier beside me not will it is enough place where this install. (The changes will come only through two years...) :|
