Good yields

Guys, when people talk about a good yield for mhrb being ~1% are they talking about pure spice after washing and re X ing or just initial impure pulls?

What number should I be looking for from an A/B on MHRB after washing and re X ing?

My latest extraction yielded 2.4 grams impure from 300g MHRB. I'm re X ing as we speak but I would imagine it's going to drop quite a bit as there was a fair bit of yellow sludge at the bottom of my glass.

STB's seem to yield higher for me than A/B's.

STB's seem to yield higher for me than A/B's.

I've always got 2% or slightly above from mhrb before cleanup.
Stb or as of recent hybrid a/b stb teks yeild higher but it's dirtier.
I'm sure there are exceptions, if one has mastered a/b & figured out all the variables they may be able to get 2%.

Stb doesn't have to yeild dirty results & can come out fairly clean if you know how.
Ex. optimum ph & temperature of heat bath, good pipettes & separating layers cleanly, etc.
A mini a/b & Washing solvent with distilled water after pulling doesn't hurt either & should remove any basic contamination without removing any spice.

I can attest that stb doesn't have to be dirty. My last extraction yielded a little over 6g from 350g of acrb, since I can't get or want to risk getting mhrb, I believe that isn't too bad from acrb. Concombres is right about keeping temperature, and pH optimal for best yields.
For me it was about simplicity, with highly powdered bark stb just seemed the way to go, I mean really how could you screw up something so simple. Since my very first extraction I've had good results, so have not decided to try any others. I do incorporate a mini a/b to clean things up though and does make a huge difference on how clean it ends up being.
I am getting ready to do another extraction and this time I'm going to use Cyb's max ion tek just to see what the difference on yield is as opposed to my usual method. It's the same bark that came in same package so if there is a difference in yield then maybe I will see it using a different method. I will probably never do any acid cooking, just seems like too much work when I'm already getting great results doing a STB. I guess it's all still just personal preference though, so I prefer the easiest
