Gooey ooey ooey, need precip help!

i mean, probs vinegar? if this bark produced too many byproducts maybe a quick'n'dirty method like STB isnt the way to go
it assumes your bark is pure to begin with, which it wont be if theyve added trunk bark for extra mass, it would also have some DMT too so its not like empty cutter, or just ground up the entire roots rather than just their bark, which at a certain scale is probably more convenient if you just have endless stumps you can process. Many convenient teks rely on the fact that DMT is almost the only naptha soluble thing m.hostillis ROOT bark that doesnt also stay in solution at super high concentration or freezing temps, i.e the only thing that crystalizes out when frozen or most of the solvent is allowed to evap away. STB on things other than MHRB require increasing levels of effort to yield a pure product.
I'm def going with ATB this time. About to start now.

For recrystallization, follow as outlined in Noman's

backsalt equates to: dissolve the material in vinegar water (50/50), pull with fresh naphtha (the alkaloids will stay in the acidic water layer and any impurities will pull into the solvent), discard the solvent. Base the acidic water again then proceed as before, 3 pulls, evap, precip.
Ok, I started over doing ATB but I’ve run into an issue. I created a thread titled “Islands in the soup” if you don’t mind lending some more advice!

Ok I started a ATB but I ran into an issue. In defat, there’s white formations of some kind on top of the purple layer (on bottom of hexanes layer). Do I need to retain the white stuff for the next step or is it junk?

thats an emulsion made of dust and like, calcium and stuff, its too light and fine to drop out of the solvent so its formed a kind of foam/scum. its mass is inconsequential, get rid of it. it looks big but its really not.
dont try to filter it btw, pointless now but, its a fools errand even once basified, the only way to recover DMT from it is to totally dry it out first otherwise its the perfect combination of, exact crystal structure for clogging filters even under extreme vacuum + the foam just straight up doesnt like passing through filters and will sit in a mound on there, as neither its oil or water component will want to go through the wet/oily parts of the filter

After doing Norman’s trek using pre-powdered, its gooey blobs. I’ve tried using vacuum to try and fix it but that didn’t work. It’s not really yellow, and I didn’t get any soup in it(see pic) Any advice will be greatly appreciated
250g powdered mim
300g lye
1900ml distilled water
Then:
125ml naptha
That is too much lye. I make 250 batches all the time. This is what I use and my s*** comes out fire. 60 g of lye 100 ml of vinegar. Get your bark and soak it in the vinegar and enough water to get it wet enough to not stick. Put that combination on the heat. not boil it but heat it till it's super hot. I do that for an hour and a half. Then I put it in the blender to break it up even further. Then proceed like normal. The only ingredient that you can put too much in is the lie also I don't use quite as much water at first I use 900 ml anyway and I get a lot in my yields so try it or don't but that s*** works
