Great Forum in the Sky

Migrated topic.
Hello friends,

Happy to be here, I'm a musician, artist, avid psychonaut, and aspiring "shaman" or guide (mostly just for friends at this point; I've successfully led many ceremonies and had the privilege to hold space for positive experiences for others), although I am a little skeptical and averse to the more esoteric/deifying cultures surrounding psychedelics, but who knows, maybe that'll change :). But I digress, I am here to immerse myself in a likeminded and knowledgable community who I can learn from and who I can also share common interests with, such as an almost inexplicable obsession with Pink Floyd and the seemingly cosmic unity their music has with the psychedelic experience, heheh.

Thanks all for forming this community, and thanks in advance for all the help and knowledge you all generously share!

Much love!

Hey hello there! :)

What are your favourite psychedelics? Any chance you share some of your experiences on the First Steps in Hyperspace sub?

There is a small chat button, on the upper left part of the forum. Feel free to join in. It can get a bit empty, so it's advised to leave the tab open, but you can get a lot of nice conversation going there though.

A quick side note. In this place, a bunch of ppl trip, share love, knowledge, compassion and growth. As such, people are sensitive to negativity, and that is why we try to avoid it. This by no means is an offense to you, but you might want to switch up your name a little bit, least anyone gets offended by it :)

Cheers and welcome !!!

Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band! I hold a grudge against Waters for not being able to work with the band, so I’ve passed up multiple opportunities to see him live. But, I did get to go to both of David’s last two American tours for On An Island in 2006 and Rattle That Lock in 2015. I didn’t care for Rattle That Lock as an album, but of course the old Floyd songs were great. That 2006 show was mind blowing though. Australian Pink Floyd show and BritFloyd are both great to see live as well if you ever get the chance.

Glad to see another obsessed fan :) one of my old usernames (I’ve had quite a few) had “madcap” in the name as a tribute to Syd. DSOM is my favorite album. Animals and Wish You Were Here round out my top 3.
I think Obscured By Clouds is their most underrated.

Peace
