Heyo everyone, it's lovely to finally be a part of this fantastic community. I am a long time explorer of internal worlds via substances as well as meditation practices, yet have only been graced with freebase DMT within the past year. As a well traveled psychonaut not only did the effects catch me off guard completely, but expanded my view of existence like nothing before.

This so far has left me with more questions than answers, but I already strongly believe it is the most important chemical of the current generation, not only for its ability to show the user its connection with all, but more importantly how small our current existence is in the grand scheme. Humbling to say the least, and imo much needed in our modern day society.

Anyways, I look forward to joining the discussion here as I continue my journey along this path. Thanks for having me.

i had a similar introduction to DMT. i had been exploring other psychedelics for many years before i had a chance to try DMT. it was almost like i was supposed to get all the childish exploration out of the way before i went there. since then i have taken huge benefits and improvements in character and i would not change it for the world.
i agree it is much needed is modern society, certainly in "the west". i wonder why 'they' go through such trouble to keep us away from it?

Thanks for the welcome, Pedro. I agree with your assesment of the chemical finding the individual at the right time, and that it is needed most in western society. It is indeed fascinating how few have had this experience, and how difficult it can seem to acquire. My hope is that it is able to do for the current generation what LSD did in the 60s.

I have a still crude hypothesis of a 30-year cycle that I've so far traced back to the 1930s in which western human consciousness has seen steep inclines, although it also appears to be a two steps forward, one step back kind of thing. In this scenario it can seem like we are moving backward toward the end of this cycle, and in a way we are, but the overarching trajectory is always an upward one.

In my approximation we are currently at the end of one of these cycles and can expect a major shift forward in human consciousness in the coming years. It will be a difficult climb but I do believe we will get there, and DMT will be the key which opens the floodgates for this cycle.

Anyways, enough rambling for now. Thanks for reading if you've come this far, and I look forward to seeing you around as well.

Nice, I'll be looking forward to starting a thread once I've been promoted to full user. In regard to the "lost fantasy" outlook, it was the same in the early 60s with the Vietnam war, racial & womens equality, etc. Very divided as it is today. No better time for a mind revolution. 8)

These substances can certainly be helpful and healing and perspective changing if done in the right ways in the proper containers. I feel that under the right conditions, the world may be able to benefit from such entheogens the world over. There's some messed up stuff going on almost everywhere, just in different ways. The east could use it just as much as the west.

What entheogens had your attention the most before coming across DMT.

Hey voidmatrix, agreed on all fronts. Before DMT, I've worked extensively with LSD and psilocybin, as well as dabbling in ketamine and MDMA. I feel they all have their place in the big picture, but am currently engaged mainly with psilocybin and DMT.

Psilocybin, for me, is an extremely useful tool for personal growth, and alongside daily meditation (and other mindfulness/emotional body practices) has played a major role in shaping my life and offering clarity in times of need.

I'd liken (Edit: freebase) DMT on the other hand to an exploration of the deep sea which can be a key to unlocking one's view of the expanse of reality and what is possible. And while there is more to it than that, it's this quality that I believe would play an extremely useful role in expanding the current mindstate of the collective consciousness, acting as a catapult toward the next evolution of humanity.

(Edit 2) I have yet to experience DMT using an MAOI due to pharmacological restrictions but hope to in the near future.
