How much better is the GVG than a VG than the machine?
1-10 rankings of each would be appreciated; been using the machine for a while and it works good enough to satisfy me so far. I'm just afraid that I might be being too wasteful here if GVGs and VGs turn out to be a lot better.

Disclaimer*

I haven't used the VG, the GVG, OR the machine.

Having said this, from Nexus research alone, I'd rank them as:

9 - GVG

7 - Machine

4 - VG

VG in theory vaporizes as well as the GVG - the 5 point difference comes in the ability of the pipe to let you see inside and exactly how much vapor you're getting.

For this same reason, the Machine is also ranked above the VG, but, due to it's assembly requirement and ease of use, falls below the GVG.

After all my research I'm probably just gonna bypass all of those and make only enhanced leaf/changa.

It just seems like everyone who tries it prefers it.

GVG is a 10 in my book. Brutally efficient. You need far less dosage wise than whats considered "normal" because no spice can really be wasted when properly loaded up, such as with the small ceramic discs with spice premelted onto them once you properly learn breath and flame height control. Ive had awesome 8ish minute journeys at only 8-12ish mg. 18-20 is full on kiss-reality-as-you-know-it-goodbye breakthru territory.

Machine, never used. Looks useful in a pinch and a little more easy to transport if youre going hiking or something say. Id be afraid to bring my GVG places just because of its size and "obvious pipe is obvious" appearance. Cant exactly play that off

Having used both I´d rank the machine as a 5, the gvg as a 10.

First of all I don´t trust the safety of inhaling vapors from copper choir/metal scrubbers that are used to make the machine. Those things are not made for vaporization, who knows what heavy metal contaminants might be coming across.

Secondly, you need to be much more careful with the lighter in the Machine to ensure propper vaporization since there is no real buffer between the fire and the alkaloids, which means you will get some pyrolized DMT even if you are careful. The smoke is definitely much much harsher than the GVG IME.

If I couldn´t get a GVG I´d make myself a convection based method such as the Inspirator MKII from Amor Fati.

I haven't tried the VG, but from other people's experiences I have read, I would agree that it is somewhere below the GVG and The Machine. My experiences with the GVG and The Machine are as follows:

The Machine: 6/10
I agree with endless (as usual 😉 ), in that I don't like the idea of using copper/stainless steel mesh for vaporizing spice. That being said, I have found The Machine to be incredibly easy to use. I was never careful with the flame, putting it right up against the steel mesh, and pyrolized DMT was never an issue. Thoroughly melting the DMT into the stainless steel mesh ahead of time allows the mesh to act as a buffer, blocking the flame from touching 95% (rough estimate) of the DMT. The vapor produced was never very harsh. In fact I would say that it was only slightly more harsh than that produced by the GVG, if I remember correctly. The biggest problem I had with The Machine is that the glass would often crack after 3-6 uses, so even though I was and still am an infrequent DMT-smoalker, I felt like I was constantly buying tiny glass bottles and drilling holes in them.

GVG: 10/10
After trying a lot of different vaporizers for DMT, the GVG blows them all out of the water. As far as I can tell, it does not get better than the GVG with a ceramic disc.

Many people do prefer enhanced leaf/changa. I have limited experience with both, and I still dabble with them from time to time. But I personally would take vaporized DMT crystals or vaporized DMT crystal/ harmala freebase over enhanced leaf or changa any day, by a long shot. One of several reasons for this is that I prefer to avoid inhaling the smoke of burning plant matter when I can, even if it is just a small amount of inert herbs.

This has cemented my view that I must invest in a GVG.

The only reasons holding me back at the moment are the fact you can only get it form their website and not in shops. I do not want to have to receive this is the post due to who I share my flat with. The price I am not so bothered about as this will be offset with the amount of spice required to journey.

Out of interest, what comes up on your bank/credit card statement after purchasing one?

Get a PO box if your worried. I can't remember what shows up on the bank statement. You can always use a prepaid visa.

Or bitcoin if you are worried about anonymity. VaporGenie accepts them as far as I remember.

GVG - 9
VG -7 as soon as you get the technique down
Machine - haven't tried
