Harmala freebase stability for storage

I intend to store harmala alkaloids for some months, and I'm wondering if storing them as freebase would be an issue. I have read that the salt form of harmala alkaloids is better for long term storage because it's more stable. What is the time scale where stability becomes a concern for the freebase form? Weeks, months, years...?

They seem to be very stable, at least in terms of retaining activity. I’ve them for at least months with no issues. Keep sealed, in a dry, cool, dark environment—I’m sure you’ll be fine.
