No more than your weight in kilograms times 1.5 is needed for MAOI effect. If you weigh 80 kilograms, 120 mg is enough. This is of course only goes for the alkaloids in the ratio usually found in Harmal, as endlessness points out the harmaline is stronger.
but also one must take in account individual variations.. It is possible some people have more MAO, either as a genetic trait or possibly due to metabolic regulation (if the speculation holds up that people eating more industrialized/aged food with higher tyramine intake do have more MAOs)
You are totally right! It could therefore be a good idea to up the dosage a bit. The difference between 120 mg and 150 is not big in terms of psychoactivity, but could indeed be big in terms of MAO inhibition in some individuals.
