Harvesting rootbark

Hey DMT wizards,

I'm planning to make DMT out of the Mimosa Hostiles.
I live in a country where this tree grows in the wild with allot of very old and big trees.
Last time I've took some bark off the Mimosa but then somebody said to me that I need to harvest the ROOTbark and not the bark of the tree because the roots have higher concentration of DMT.
So I'm planning to harvest this week some rootbark of the tree but I still do have 2 questions about it.

1- Do the roots need to be 100% underground? Or can I harvest the roots that a sticking out of the ground partly as seen on the video?

2- Can I use all of the roots or only the bark of the roots to make DMT?

I believe the stem bark also has alkaloids, perhaps you could focus on deadfall and/or branch trimming and not have to uproot living trees?

I would strongly encourage you to harvest, plant, and share seeds from these wild populations.

If you do end up uprooting a tree (not advised) please plant 10 more where you you took it from.

The stem bark indeed also has DMT, but apparently a much lower concentration than in the roots.
That said, I've readed somewhere (I believe here on Nexus during my search for answers before posting this) and they said that you can easily harvest 1/3 of the roots if a tree is healthy and the tree will not die and he talked out of experience in his post.
And these trees here are native there are so many healthy, big and old Mimosa's here on the island

Congratulations, for most of us being able to get rootbark just from harvesting (responsibly) is a dream. Looking forward to hearing more about the results of extraction!

Yeah living on a island in the tropics has his perks and their now drying, after that I will clean and strip them but it will be my first time making DMT so hope it goes well....... You'll hear when it's that time
