SWIM is interested in trying spice freebase and was looking at the various ways of smoking (vaping) it.
I came across the essential vaaaapp (Herbal Innovations | Purple Eclipse H2O) and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on it.
sorry i dont know if linking to a website like ALT is ok? i'm not trying to advertise i just wanted to give people an easy way to see what i'm talking about.
it is marketed as a DMT pipe (Don't Miss The Perfect Intense Pure Experience)

SWIM actually has a GVG currently, he was just wondering if there was any advantages to a different pipe (the GVG has not been used for spice yet)
thanks for the quick reply, i think based on general consensus from multiple threads i've read here i'll recommend him the GVG
 
um....how can i put this the most plain....?

how about this: the GVG is THE BEST way there is of having dependable, successful forays into the everything. no misfires...perfect for changa or, with the tiniest modification (add a little scrub of steel wool) it is perfect for pure crystals. you can see your hit right before your eyes. you CAN'T burn the molecule (unless you pretty much TRY to)... all that AND it's an amazing, beautifullly crafted piece of art that will be as functional, cool and timeless in 50 years as it is right now. this is just one of those truly cool, perfectly functioning tools that (as long as vaporization is your means of communing) will make you smile and revere every time you hold it.

don't mess around and try a bunch of hit/miss pieces until you finally get this thing and regret all the money you could have saved. this is the thing. everyone that's gotten one and learned proper technique with it LOVES it. as in....LOVES..like the way you loved that puppy you got when you were 9...

i own two. i gave a third one to Uncle Knucles for his b-day i truly can't imagine a better b-day gift. it's like handing someone a key to a universe....a key that never fails... :)

i guess that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter... ;)

I dont currently own a GVG, but after viewing this thread and those links i will definitely be putting down for one.

that thing is fucking sweet.

thats a great investment for the spice enthusiast IMO.

OP i dont see why you would want anything else?

i say the GVG is the way to go man.

I agree with everything that everyone has already said about the GVG. I went almost a year “experimenting” with a variety of devices (always burning spice) until I broke down and bought one. It’s the best, and it’s brutally effective. :shock:

I often read where people use 50, 60, 80mg of spice and still have trouble breaking through. With good technique and a GVG, I bet you’ll be using 25-30mg instead of 50+mg.

great point. you'll find that the amount of spice needed to break through will be reduced with proper technique and a GVG.

....yet another reason to save up the coin and just get one....(or three if you're me ;) )

Hey people!

Im new here but have been checking out the various forums for some time and this post has taken my cherry!I honestly believe that smoking it on thick aluminium foil is the way to go for freebase.The only issue here is getting your technique fine-tuned but being adept at this is not really something your gonna put on your CV.If you have mis-spent your youth chasing that dragon into papavers lair (not recommended!) you will find its not a hard skill to acquire and will serve you ridiculously well with spice;40mg in 3 lug-fulls is not hard to achieve and will hit the spot every time.Plus, if Vovins tek is used with particular attention being paid to defatting/cleaning your tackle, its like inhaling fresh mountain air.Admittedly, its not a fetching sight tooting away but in purely pragmatic terms its a method that undoubtedly has merit.I think that if you haven't got this technique mastered through prior experience with less salubrious compounds, you may well struggle.If youve got it sussed its a winner every time,and if you use a tooter made of foil you have the added benefit of some spice residue condensing on the inside which can be used later.I know some people have concerns about vaporising on foil due to possible links with brain-damage somewhat akin to Alzheimers but the evidence for an encephalopathy due to tooting is not convincing.Afficionados of H always heat the foil (flame to the shiny side,tackle on the dull side) before even placing the goodies on the foil and if it is suitably thick the chances of vaporizing aluminium are pretty remote with a zippo flame-and you dont need anything hotter with freebase a la Vovin.
 
not got really much to add here accept "GET A GVG!" and that ill never smoke again because of it.
it really is the modern day machine:wink:
