Haven't seen this smoking method discussed

I haven't seen anyone talk about this way to smoke dmt on here. I guess its analogous to smoking out of a light bulb though?

Seems to make sense to me. I can easily see what is going on and ensure I don't burn my spice. I can accurately weigh out my dose and feel confident that what I weighed is what I ingested (not having to wonder how much I wasted/pyrolized). Assuming I don't burn it. I also think controlling the heat/avoiding burning will be easier this way?

I am considering this for my first experience. I am not going to buy a gvg just yet. And I will probably make changa after some incremental doses of straight freebase.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

It is my opinion but that is a horrible method. It has been discussed and iirc it is not well supported.

Most will agree a gvg by far surpasses ability to that thing. The sandwhich method is a way better method to start out with.

You can not "ensure" that you wont be burning dmt with that style of method. It is not impossible but highly likely you will have waste.

300,000+ uneducated people are now under the assumption that smoking DMT out of a plastic 2 liter bottle with tin foil is 'the best way to do it'. :?: Hashtag facepalm

I hate seeing user submitted experience, technique, etc videos on youtube about DMT. It draws WAY too much unwanted/unnecessary attention. And this video, as an example, gives the DMT picture the wrong vibe for someone whos 'anti drug' to come across it randomly; it looks far too junkie like. Vids like this do not help the cause at all. Theyre not going to bring positive light, they'll just be used as fuel to make everything look bad. A plastic bottle, tin foil, and electrical tape?? Please.

You cant guarantee you wont burn anything, in fact, the reason the tin foil is black/burned in that video is because HE flat out burned his spice. Period. Its not a good method at all. Tin foil can heat up very very quickly, especially with a flame below it, you could be holding a flame 3 inches away for 20 seconds, move it maybe an inch closer and WHAM the tin foil temperature just shot up and your spice has pyrolyzed.


As for smoking methods, the GVG is absolutely brutally effective. It's worth every dollar. You will be able to use far less spice, vaporize ALL of your dose without wasting any, perfectly every time. Save yourself headaches if you can and go for a GVG and never look back.

The thing in the Youtube video is like a ghetto version of The Machine, which is my preferred tool. I haven't used many methods to vape DMT, but I can at least say that The Machine is a hundred times better than a light bulb. As for the thing in the Youtube video, I can imagine that it works great for him, but I wouldn't want to risk messing up the construction or vaporization and inhale plastic fumes.

The thing in the video is more like a lightbulb-style pipe than The Machine. The Machine would be far more efficient and pose less of a risk of burning the spice than that contraption.

EntheoZen, this method has been discussed multiple times before. The consensus every time seems to be: it is a horribly inefficient method. There is also some debate as to whether or not it poses additional health risks. Using conduction (this method, lightbulb, etc.) makes it extremely easy to burn the spice, because the surface retains heat. When you take the flame away from it, it will stay hot. The Machine is 2nd only to the GVG, in my experience/opinion, and it can be made for 1/20th the price of the GVG. It is far more fool-proof than the herb-sandwich, the lightbulb, or the two-liter bottle thing.

The only two methods I would really recommend for a beginner who wants to save some cash would be The Machine or enhanced leaf. These two methods are both highly efficient, can be made for about $5 USD, and make it very easy for an inexperienced person to vaporize spice without burning it.

You'd have to make sure to include the "on YouTube" part because I am sure someone, somewhere has concocted a method far worse. :lol:

Didn't necessarily want to bump this, but thought since I started it, I should follow up with my observation (..using the machine).

The whole reason I looked into alternative methods was because of apparent contradictions and negative reviews regarding the machine. And I didn't want to invest in a vg for my first go at dmt, in case it was my last go :roll:

After the responses, I figured I would go ahead and try the machine. It was simple to make. Cheap. And did the job perfectly! I have nothing negative at all to report.

It was easy to use. I slightly pointed the opening downward (not quite perpendicular/maybe 30 degrees). Held a bic about 3" away. It began vaporizing almost instantley. Lots of thick white vapor. The smoke was not harsh. I didn't burn any spice. I believe I was able to vape all/or most of 10mg in one hit.

This is a perfect method for anyone giving it a first go. In fact, it is so perfect, I won't even consider a gvg for the time being. Maybe at a later date if I so feel compelled. Personally, my next method will be changa in the bonga But I will def stick with the machine for my next few trials.

Glad it worked for you, me personally I wanted to make myself a machine, I bought a glass drillbit and choreboy copper scrubber, I was all set! And I said EHHHH screw this Ill just get a GVG. Id still like to make myself a machine, would be far easier to transport on a vacation or whatnot and I wouldnt cry if it broke lol.

Quick note though, dont make any drastic jumps in dosage. Stay sub 15 til youre comfortable. Once youre comfortable, continue to stay there a while haha.

Yea, IME upping one's dose in 5mg increments is usually a safe pace.
