Don't feel like an idiot, it was an honest mistake that if you're unfamiliar with masses it is easy to make! However, saying that, I'm glad it was realised before your next attempt! Also, on a massive plus side you have an awful lot more to experiment with than you thought. :d
My first few experiences were marred by smoking (note, not vaping) ~50 mg doses and not remembering an awful lot of what went on too. Plus the horrid burning sensation from what I now assume was residual sodium hydroxide in an unclean extraction (not my own, this was acquired from someone else) and I won't even go into the being tricked into a 50 mg smoke while under the influence of ketamine, alcohol and high-grade ganja. Got my arse handed to me that night, but boy did I sure learn a lot and it actually ended up being a major turning point in my life for the better.
As for tolerance, it's not really an issue with the spice except that if you don't do so well in your method of administration you may have to wait a few minutes, however people debate this. For changa it is apparently not an issue. In fact, in regards to long-term tolerance, if anything it appears to reduce. This is not from my own experience, which is limited, but from reading a lot on the nexus of other people's experiences.
Happy travels man, and look into some milligram scales. Here's a stickied thread:
I use some that are cheap (~£20-30) and are the ones often found with different labelling but probably from the same asian factory and then branded by other people. I had one that was a nightmare for years but could be worked if you had the knack, got some new ones from a certain online shop named after a river and they are ideal. Well without spending silly amounts on a professional chemical scale which can run into hundreds-thousands easily and are overkill unless you are doing precise analytical work.
