I've been interested in psychedelics since long before I eventually tried them in college at the age of 19. That drive for mystical experience has stayed with me for decades but with little ability to explore it until I discovered about 8 years ago that the internet was good for more than email and porn. I've happily been a member of another site for many years, but have recently found myself drawn to cacti and other botanicals and have admired the content and activity level you have here at The Nexus. That's my thumbnail sketch...looking forward to being a member of your community!

Were you successful with exploring mystical states using psychedelics? Or just the internet? What psychedelics have you tried yet - is DMT among them? What do you get out of the experience, how do you think it fits into your life, and how do you take psychedelics when you do?

Well success is subjective, but I did learn to grow mushrooms and have taken them many times during the past 8 years. I have recently been successful at a mescaline extraction, though only a low dose(150mg mesc hcl) bioassay has been done as yet. My girlfriend and I have a secluded mountain cabin rented next month where the dose will be significantly higher than threshold. I have not tried DMT, but have been intrigued by it...
