Hello. First off, I want to show my appreciation of this site and its members. I feel important things are being done here.

Anyway, I have made extractions that I then freeze-precip/evap'd to obtain crystals that have failed testing. I can only speculate as to why I'm receiving negative results because I have done everything to the "T". I paused to avoid further failure and waste of crystals, after months of researching I have now made another extraction. The extracted naphtha is now sitting in a hot water bath. I am prepared to do a sodium carbonate wash as well as this is something I have never done before. Always before immediately after extraction I went to freeze-precip, to drying, then to testing with negative results. Help is much needed and will be eternally appreciated as it is a strong desire to produce quality product at this time. Thanks in advance!

The tek you are following (Nomans) has some interesting remarks. From Nomans himslef:

"Go into more detail about the freeze precip. When I wrote the tek, commonly available bark was of much higher quality. Now a partial evap is sometimes necessary to get the solution concentrated enough to precip."

So it seems you may be leaving good quality DMT in the Naphta. 90mg of DMT seems low for a first pull. I think you should try to evaporate down your Naphta (make sure you do it safely) then do this. Also, try a warm Naphta pull (also in the tech's remarks).

I second the notion of trying CYB's Tek, my favorite is the max ion Tek. It is designed for quality pulls that precipitate well.

I am setting the solution out for an evaporation of half the volume, but I would still like to do a sodium carbonate wash as it is something different and will boast my confidence in possible success considering all else has most likely failed. I will definitely follow through with the advice given. Much thanks to all those involved.
