Hello I am Krishna Bol and this will be my first post. The best thing i have to offer these forums is a hotkey script i wrote for the plugin MILKDROP for winamp. I also have lots of artful creations and ideas.

The main reason i signed up is because i had what i would describe as a very soapy yield via thicklight's acrb tek. I used heptane(in place of naphtha): waited for the seperations, except i pulled with a plastic baster.. it permenently clouded it up pretty well(also smells like heptane days after being washed) I did the pull as quick as i could once i saw how quick it clouded. I took care not to pull any other layer.

It looked like thick kosher or preztal salt ccrystals even spread across my dish in the freezer, decanted: once dry i scraped and it was a very waxey or soapy consistancy. it tastes very soapy. Smells like the good stuff(if not a little basefied smelling) I was worried somehow the NaOH created soap (i filtered the heck out of the boils before basifying)

It has a soapy luster.. somewhat soapy consistancy when rubbed between my fingers, and smells of both a basified liquid and of amazing.

It looks like inconsitsantly grated soap.. or maybe even cheese. But im lactose intolerant. so i couldnt say what kind. the string cheese that is off white .

As do I. I put a torch on it and i also threw a chunk on a red hot grade 2 Titanium Nail skillet. stinks like it should with no detectable plastic smell. first heptane pull precipitated 2.5 grams from 500 grams whole root bark broken into small pieces. it yieled a lot more than i expected.. very airy and fluffy shreds of soapy chunks.

you can see how it curls in the front left of the picture. this is what i imagine it would be like if i were to shave soap.


I should note there was no detectable residue on the Ti Hot nail when it was applied.

Welcome to the Nexus. Exciting times ahead for you. How exciting having done your first extraction!

I'm glad you posted your concerns and your picture. The only thing I felt might be an issue was using the plastic baster to do your pulls. Some of the plastic could have joined your extraction I suspect. But, I am no chemist. Basically, I would suggest discarding that baster and in the future, using a glass tool to extract.

DMT freebase, by it's nature is very basic, which means it will have a very waxy or soapy feel to it. The smell of the freebase should be a light floral one. Your picture looks great. I would suggest chopping that up with a razor and continuing to dry it out until you have a pile of tiny crystals resembling powder laundry detergent in consistency.

Your experiment completely and utterly burned the crap out of your DMT. Using a heated titanium nail subjected the freebase to 2000+ degrees F. DMT begins to melt at around 100 and it vapes soon thereafter. The goal is to vape the DMT not to burn it. When you vape it there is little to no smell. When you burn it it smells like ultra toxic burning plastic.

So, put your dabbing rig away when working with DMT and figure out another way to vape it using a regular flame that never actually touches the material - you just want a tiny bit of heat to get the vaporization process going.

So, I hope that helps. Please keep us posted. This is such an exciting time - I am very excited for you.
