help defating fumerate salt

swim recently extracted some using limonene and salted to fumerate salt , but on freebasing it results in yellowish goo , swim tried all the freebasing procedures
so realizing that limonene must have pulled much fats and oils swim is going to defat the fumerate salt

what should swim do ?.
swim is planning to add some water to the fumerate salt 5 G ( could also add acetic acid for further acidifying however swim figures fumerate is already acidic ) + naptha ( 3 pulls 50 ml each for the defat)
then swim is going to basify the fumerate with sodium carbonate and pull with naptha ( 3 pulls 200 ml each for extraction ) and freeze precipitate

is this OK pls help ? will it get rid of the oils and fat

The fumarates could be washed with anhydrous acetone.

The freebase can be re-crystallized by dissolving in hot naphtha and freeze precipitating.

Did you try the slow water freebase crystallization method as written in BLAB?

And yes as said above you can wash fumarates with dry acetone or IPA.
