Hi,

My English is very bad.

SWIM have MHRB powder 400g. SWIM can not decide which technique to use. SWIM have access to heptane, hexane and all normal materials, except vm & p naphtha.

Of all the techniques, in relation ease/quality SWIM see is watcha's tek or this ..

What tek do you recommend?

SWIM read many people mistook the quantities to make Watcha's tek, can help SWIM with this? (heptane and 400g MHRB)

Why not try a couple of teks - then you can decide for yourself which tek to use in future. I use the 1/1/1/1.5 ratio (MHRB/Lye/naptha/water) for small extractions, for larger extractions I never use more than 100ml naptha per pull and also I reduce the amount of lye and water

Having no naptha is not a problem since you can use heptane as a substitute

I would do a STB, A/B and BLAB.. you say you have access to LIMO? that would be the best if you did a side-by-side.

For me its better in smaller quantities. I dont need that much spice.. But you can try a big brew if you please.. its up to you. You also dont need naptha, its just a NPS, if you have access to heptane and hexane, you can use both of those and get some pretty dank pulls. I suggest experimenting. Read around abit, and dont use whatchas, from what I can tell, you get a lot of yellow spice because of all the heat..

Also, never ever get your NPS too hot, otherwise it WILL PULL IMPURITIES. You want it warm, if at all.. Room temp seems to be fine for most people.

Make sure you are patient too.. I cant tell you how many times my impatience has led to less yeild, more impurities, and a bad mood.

I need try all, I know, but everybody want to have poor loss of material, so I resort to consult their tricks and they got the best technique.

Gir, you have experience, it could help me with the quantities to make my first test, I mean start with 100gMHRB /? Lye /? Distill Water. How much pulls? with heptane or hexane?
I think is best 3 o 4 pulls with heptane and next few whashes with hexane, that it's correct?

hey people, just wondering, isn't heptane one of the lighter forms of naphtha? I mean, naphtha is a mixture of the hydrocarbons right? Isn't heptane just one of those hydrocarbons? And heptane is the prefereable, lighter of the hydrocarbons. So basically, isn't heptane superior to the naphtha mixture because heptane alone is light, and probably guaranteed to evap cleanly.

I have done many stb's and even wrote one of the teks your reffering to. Lol. Not to discredit my tek its good for some fast relatively clean spice and cool to watch the spice migrate. I just read and tried this A/B tek and am amazed with the results so far. I don't think ill ever do an STB again. An A/B seems to produce bigger yeilds while remaining clean. Can you help me with the quantities? He say "naphta", is the same amount for Heptane?

Swim used vm&p naphtha. I don't see why heptane wouldn't work. The thing with heptane is you gotta keep it hot for it to hold spice well. Your first pulls should still be hot from the boiling and the lye so make sure if you do more pulls say the next day that u get it nice and hot.

I dont get this part:

"The plant material should go back in the pot with 3:1 vinegar solution again, covering all plant material + 1""

Does it mean that the blend, previously strained, back to the same 3:1 solution and fill up to the top with mhrb?

Can use a normal cooking burner in stead of crockpot?

I'm not a native english speaker :/ Could you make me a quick overview? I'm not stupid, but I don't get the whole process, I'm a very thankfull :D

Swim used 300ml water and 100ml white vinegar. For first boil. Strained juices into a milk jug.
Put the plant matter back in the pot and added another 300ml water and 100ml vinegar. Strain into jug.
Put plant matter back in pot and add 400ml water. Strain into jug.
Each stepwas heated for about an hour. Stirring every minute or 2

Are a lot of questions, are the latest :D

With this ratio (3:1) how much plant matter should I use?
When done all, I have a jug with 1L water/ 200ml vinager and the dmt inside, right?, now add the lye water in warm/hot or a normal temp?

Next, how much pulls recommend? How much heptane per pull?

Acolon tek say:

"Add 200mL naphtha per 500g mimosa, swirl, remove, place in a mason jar and put it right in the freezer.
Add another 200mL (per 500g mimosa) swirl, let sit for 30 minutes. Check your jar in the freezer, bet it's covered in xtals and is no longer cloudy. Switch solvents, meaning get your xtals (or leave them stuck to the sides of the glass) get the naphtha out of the jug and into the mason jar...recycle it, you only need 400mL of naphtha for and extaction, just use over and over until the jug is exhuasted."

I do the first pull with 200ml of naphta follow by separate this naphta/dmt layer in a mason jar and put it in the frezer, after words he says do another pull but this time sit 30 minutes. There no need put this layer of naphta/dmt in the freeze precipitation like the first? or all pulls needs sit 30 minutes before the freezer?

When take this many mason jar (one per pull I guess) from the frezzer, I do evaporated at room temp the "rest" of naphta can't do extraxt before?

I use like 200-300ml of heptane per pull, I do 2-3 pulls with heptane then do 2-3 with naptha. You can keep pulling until spice stops comming out.

And you don't HAVE to let your pulls sit that long, but it doesn't hurt to let it sit 20-30 mins.

Yes all of your naptha/heptane will go in the freezer to precipitate the dmt out. You can put all the pulls in one jar, or seperate them, its up to you.

after swim adds NaoH he swirls for a few minutes and then adds his solvent. He then swirls for about 5 minutes and let's the jug settle for 5 or 10 minutes. He then siphons off the solvent layer into 1/2 pint mason jars. Adds more solvent to the jug and swirls for 5 minutes and let's it sit for 30 minutes. He then siphons the solvent into more 1/2 pint mason jars. Now you can just put them into the freezer and your dmt will fall out (I don't touch them for 1-3 days). But for nicer crystal formations you want the jars to cool down as slowly as possible. This doesn't make it any more potent or give u higher yeilds but its fun to play around with.
