I poured warm Naptha in my lye/bark mix, but now it won't sepperate, what did i do wron,g?
It doesn't form a layer, it's like it is mixed....

Ok, it's solved.

I used 100gr of powdered bark, 100 gr of NaOH, 1L of water, shaked the jar, let it rest for an hour and added 100ml warm Naptha, then i got the emulsion, so i added 40gr of NAoH and 200ml of water, after 10 minutes it was sepperated again. :p

My yield is going to be bigger then my previous one using this method, it's a combination of 2 different teks, but i think it's a good way to go, after 2 hours theres allready crystals sticking to the sides of my jars, white sticky crystals, i can't wait for tomorrow!

Also, in one jar there has formed a small yellow spot, i don't know how that got there, it was pure naptha...

I'm glad it's solved. :)

hey dude last time you told me you just wait few minutes and it seperated... i guess it needs time sumtimes... when you told me that i was like wow its really quick :) coz it mostly takes SWIM like hours to seperate totally... first hour just 2 fingers up then 3 lets say and 4-5 hours SWIM sees that its totally seperated. just to let you know before taking your pull let it sit for at least 4-5 hours after your last shaking so there will be enough time for solvent to totally seperate and you dont endup pulling 70% of solvent. Also when you add solvent for the next pull you dont endup getting a much higher solvent level and be like wtf, like SWIM used to be once :):)

Hey corridor, yea, with my first method it sepperated at once, it looked like it never mingled in the first place, cause i did'nt shake it, and used more water, this time it took me longer, the last pull i had to leave overnight, and i'm extracting it later this evening, it took much longer then my previous, but i shaked it much longer, so that's probably the issue here. :)
