Help Please

So swim recently acquired a g of DMT. Swim told me the product in question has zero crystals in it, is this normal?
As well as this the dmt is also extremely harsh on my friends throat, harsh to the point of barely being able to take one good pull of the pipe. Swim has been reading a lot about possible Lye contamination or Naphtha, my friend is no chemist and does not know what either of these actually are so swim is really hoping to get some feedback on this as swim wants to know if she should just chuck this stuff out or if this is normal and Dmt is supposed to make your throat feel like fire.
Also swim doesnt think that she is burning the dmt as she is using a meth pipe and keeping the flame at a nice distance from the bowl.

Any help would be great as the pain on my friends throat is stopping them from being able to take whats necessary to "Blast off"

Swim is a smoker so she knows how to inhale toxic smoke, but she says nothing is as bad as this.

She also said it smells just like DMT she has tried in the past, just way more harsh.
Toxic DMT or just the way it is she should get some cough drops???

I once took a hit from one of those bulb-style pipes. Never again. They are terribly inefficient at vaporizing DMT and will likely result in much of it pyrolyzing (burning), and this can be awful on the throat and lungs. It is unlikely you are inhaling any lye since it doesn't vaporize until 1338C, which is far above the boiling point of DMT and above the temperature your lighter will likely reach.

DMT vapor does have a bit of a harshness to it but this can be minimized to a tolerable level by using a proper method of vaporizing it, such as with the GVG, or by making some enhanced leaf and smoking in a bong (my preference).

It's hard to tell from the small size but that does look a little questionable to me, looks like there could be some plant matter and/or base mixture in there.

It should be fairly easy though to clean it up via recrystalization, all you will need is some naphtha. Dissolve the DMT in a small amount of naphtha (wait a few minutes and maybe put the naphtha container in a warm water bath (not too warm)). Then, pour the naphtha into a separate container, leaving behind anything that is not soluble. You can then either wait for the naphtha to evaporate or put it in the freezer for 12 hours to retrieve DMT that should be more pure than that stuff.

First and foremost please make sure you read our Attitude and understand we do not condone the purchase or sale of DMT.

My suggestion would be to toss it down the drain and learn the art of extraction. Your health is worth a little patience and you will learn some important skills along the way. There is no rush -- DMT land will be there, waiting for you, with respect and admiration.

To me trips are infinitely more rewarding with the knowledge I produced the substance being smoked. Think of the extraction process as a rite of passage to greater levels of being.

I would agree with a1pha. It definitely changes the experience when you extract it yourself and makes it a little more personal for most. This is true fore most psychedelic substances one consumes.

It's harsh because its being burned. Put it in a regular pipe using the sandwhich method. Herb, dose Herb and gently just roast it and inhale.

You did not state you purchased it, but it sounds like you did. Do not purchase it ever. And do not smoke it unless you made it or know who made it and trust that person.

It's sad to see people buying and selling it and its very disrespectful. Hyperspace wont allow you in if it doesn't want to.

I agree with pretty much everything in this thread: Re-x, and learn how to extract. But first I would recommend a reagent test, to be certain whether or not it is actually DMT you would be recrystallizing.

Properly vaporized DMT will not be harsh at all.

I am pretty sure it is DMT as it smells like it, as well I have been able to produce somewhat mild visuals from it. Only thing is the burn on my throat is so severe that I am uncomfortable to smoke it and my source that I got it from is suspect. Any way I think im just gonna toss it and learn to extract my own. thanks yall
