Hey all

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
I've been lurking for sometime now and decided that its about time to try and introduce myself here and hopefully become a full member. First I've been mostly interested (for the time being) in doing a cactus extraction. This site drew me in because of its unique d-limonene tech and its knowledgeable members. So I think I could contribute in that I can post my relevant experiences and knowledge of the tech as they go (Both in the trip reports and the science itself). I'm hoping this site can help me in that I'd like to compare some more sources before I hit the trigger and I have a couple questions about the tech itself. So thats my spiel, but now my introduction:

I suppose I'm a relatively young psychonaut but almost completely inexperienced. I've had a long fascination with psychedelic substances and its effects on the mind as well as the history behind them as well. For a long time I felt a too young and not quite ready to try them. So in highschool It so happened my best friend tried a variety of things and I would give him all the knowledge I could find about so said substance. I'd usually join along when him and any friends would try something as a sort of trip sitter that wasn't actually needed. I also became interested in Kesey, Hofmann, Shulgin and different cultures that were influenced by one psychedelic drug or the next. So now here I am in college and I've been ready and searching for quite sometime for the right psychedelic. Oddly enough I had far better opportunities in highschool and haven't been able to really find anything that I was looking for since then. I'm kinda picky though and for awhile only wanted LSD for my first go. Also, I'm picky in that I want to really KNOW what i'm taking if at all possible a good estimate at the dosage. Mescaline has also always been a substance near the top of my list and when I discovered how accurately and relatively simple it is to derive almost pure mescaline from a cactus I became very excited. Chemistry and experiments are fun and more rewarding the way I see it. Also, now I don't have to depend on middlemen who don't know anything about there...product.

I'm not necessarily looking for something specific out of this experience, but I have a lot of respect for the positive benefits that people have achieved from similar substances. I'm also aware of negative influences they can have when used less responsibly, but i'm prepared. More recently in my life I've been through some unfortunate events that had me putting this on the back burner. I've moved on, but I'm open to any reconciliation I might gain.

Anyhow, thats my story I apologize if it rambles, but I am not very good at organizing my thoughts into writing. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome :) I hope experiencing DMT makes you as happy as it made me and im sure everyone here on this forum (though I really dont like talking for anyone else)

Hi fizznab

I'm picky in that I want to really KNOW what i'm taking if at all possible a good estimate at the dosage.

As you already know -you've found the right place!

I have just successfully completed my first d-limonene tek on MHRB.

Thanks to Nexus contributors I can report great yields, aromas and bioassays!

I'm not necessarily looking for something specific out of this experience
As members here once explained it to me-

(Wsaged)- you never know what your going to get each voyage, make no attempt to direct the journey.
(Dorge)- you may not get what you want but instead what you need.

You've obviously got the right approach and mind-set and I, for one, look forward to your contributions. I enjoyed your introduction- thank you and welcome :d

Welcome fizznab! (nice name by the way:d )

im also a young psychonaut (21)

it can be a very good thing that your not trying to get something specific out of the experience, just go with the your own flow and im sure what you get out of it won't make you complain.

Perhaps at your college or uni you can look into some extra curricular groups; my college has groups that get together and talk about nature/universe spirituality, history of psychedelics (a elective actually)and some other interesting subjects. These definitely enhance your schools experience and is something to look forward to. (these common interest groups will probably help you find that psychedelic you searching for too 😉 )

Thanks for the responses all.

MooshyPeaches, I think your right in that I need to search a little deeper into interests groups of that nature. There is a philosophy club I've been meaning to start attending. One thing about my school is that it is too conservative (religious, big fans of drinking, not many drugs) but, its big enough to have its offbeat niches.
