the mods are really nice here. they suggested that i restart this thread here, but this time i will not take any criticisms personally. I really just meant to start this thread for others to get an alternative tek, and i would love to hear more people's experiences / thoughts about it!
i basically mix an even amount of arm and hammer washing soda and mhrb powder, then put this mixture in a large canning jar and add isopropyl alcohol to this.
I seal the jar and shake vigorously, then let sit overnight, shaking vigorously every few hours.
then i filter the solid material and pour the liquid into a pint glass, and then into a nice flat dish for evaporation.
after evaporation, i am left with a nice resin, reddish/brown in color, and this material, although it has a little bit of residual sodium carbonate, it is rich with n,n-dmt and also other mimosa alkaloids.
it is like a full-spectrum extract of mimosa, with dmt being the main alkaloid.
has anyone else tried this? what are your thoughts/experiences?
i agree it may not be a great extraction tek when compared to the usual lye/naphtha method, but it does work, and i posted it here for people who wish to extract without using dangerous chemicals. I myself am a bit reluctant to work with lye because of how corrosive it is, and i know the end product has no lye in it, but personally i would not like to use it because i am still learning and i don't really trust myself with this chemical.
