hi, new to this forum, a few questions

I'm very curious about this stuff, reading these trip reports talking about seeing alien entities and such, sounds very cool, maybe something i'd like to try. I have a few questions:

1. Is is safe? I'm guessing it's like shrooms/acid where you can't OD, but i'm not sure

2. are these plants you extract it from easy to get? where do they grow, or where can you buy them. i don't even know anyone who has heard of DMT, so guess i'd have to make my own, eh?

3. what's easy way to smoke it? can i use a crack pipe (my friend 😉 has a little experience with this) or do i have to make some new apparatus

You should know that Aliens are merely figments of peeps subconscious and DMT aint cool. Do you want to feel like you are dying and there is no hope?

If yes maybe DMT is for you.

Just kidding and being serious at the same time I have never seen a single alien in over 30years of Altered States and beleive me I have been DEEEEEEEP into these places were others see them. ME NOTHING

no aliens no cool but thats ok cause DMT has a different meaning to me.

I'm afraid I don't know enough to give you a definitive answer, but from what I have seen, no it is not possible to OD. The main dangers seem to be from possible MAOI contraindications from certain preparations, and the psychological effects (much like other psychedelic experiences)

One of the more popular sources for it is mimosa hostilis root bark (often abbreviated to MHRB) which is freely available from internet sources. If that is not possible, there are a multitude of other plants (and some animals) that you would be able to get DMT from.

That kind of pipe should be usable.

I would suggest having a read through of this FAQ. Another source of info is Erowid and deoxy.org. Someone else may be able to share some other links.

ODing on vaporized DMT is nearly impossible. I belive for IV the LD50 was established at 11-14grams for a 200lb adult. Unless you plant on injecting MASSIVE amounts of DMT, there is no issue with psysical issues from ODing (over doing the dose is overdosing).

The plants grow all over the world, but most peoplee extract from Mimosa Hostillis Root Bark as it has a consistant level of DMT and the DMT can be extracted without any other alkaloid contamination.

Please do a bit of research on this, the DMT wiki has a lot of info you should read, as does the Extraction Help Thread.

People smoke DMT out of many different devices. A bong, a pipe, glass oil pipes, meth pipes, crack pipes, vaporizers, and home made devices such as "The Machine" (do a search on it).

Pretty much anything works, but many have found that the least harsh and easiest to break through on is the "leaf bed method" in a water bong. Others swear by vaporizers or glass pipes.

I suggest trying the bong method first if you own one and then seeing if DMT is something you want to persue. no point of spending a bunch of money or time making/buying something that you'll only use once.\


BTW, I seem to see intelligent entities on about 1 in 3 DMT experiences....it seems to be a personal thing, but I think if we polled everyone that has smoked DMT over 20 times most will have had some type of entity contact.
 
Yea man, you need to get your reading glasses on & start doing some serious reading before you go any further.
This is not just another neat drug to check out.
You need to have a pretty good idea of what your doing to even get the full-on experience.
(example: If you don't vaporize it correctly, you can burn it up & get next to none of the true effects, burning it also makes the vapor much harsher too)

Especially if you are planing to extract your own (and you should), understand the process & what the steps are doing before attempting it. People who just "follow a recipe" do not end up with the best results.
Remember you are not making anything...the DMT is already inside the plants. The extraction process is just removing the excess plant material form around the active alkaloids.

BTW, the experience is very different every time!! So you don't smoke it & get the exact experience you just read about in a web-forum.
You get what you get, that's one of the great things as far as I'm concerned...it's basically a somewhat new experience every time.:shock:
There is way more going on with DMT than just a neat high.

You have a lot of reading/learning to do...so go get started!😉
As a new member you are only able to post in the "nursery section", but you can read the whole forum, all you want.
The answers to every question you asked are in the pages of this forum (and many others too) & explained in great detail in most cases.

Please use the Search function & do some looking around before asking the most basic of questions, like..."what plants do I use"...look for 2 minutes & you'll find that answer a million times.:?

If you want to do DMT you will change!
You will have to! DMT is not a party drug or something you just take to lift your mood!

Go for the extraction by your own.

First you have to decide which TEK you are going to use.
You can find different TEKs on this forum.
Plan 100-300 $ on that if you got the money. Buy laboratory dishes (seperation funnel etc.) and chemicals which you are going to need.
Of course there is a cheap way, but i'd recommend spend at least 100 $ in equipement.
 
thanks for the help everyone! i'm not expecting a mood-brightening kind of drug, what i'm probably expecting is something powerful, freaky, and generally weird, but my curiousity has been aroused, and i'll probably have to do it at least once

i sort of like the idea of an 8-minute trip too, i guess no matter how bad it got i'd only have a few minutes to get through, right? or maybe it wouldn't be 'good' or 'bad' just very reality altering

$100-300 doesn't sound too bad, and the lab equipment can always be used for other projects

when i'll get around to doing it i don't exactly know, but for me all the lab stuff is fun, almost as much as the result. right now i'm working on a little mushroom project, and it's going good so far 8) i'll let everyone know how things go, thanx for the info
 
evil, don't forget: it only lasts about 8 minutes, true...but once you've broken trough it seems like ETERNITY! so to me personnaly the short time it takes doesn't mean anything...i think a 5 minute breaktrough can be as exhausting as a 8 hour acid trip. So you should really prepare to go on a long, no eternal journey! prepare yourself...this is my opinion, i've only broken trough once but now i know it's not just a '8 minute trip'...

so time is distorted, and 8 min. can seem like a really long time. I guess our perception of time is subjective, just like our perception of everything else. this is all so fascinating that i feel like i have to try it. curiousity killed the cat, i guess, but he died as one really smart cat

gotta save a little money for some of that powdered mimosa root bark & chemicals, but i'm definitely going for it, why not? maybe i'll learn something important from it

Maybe that will prove to be your understatement of the millennium! I have been humbled. I had no idea. Really no idea even though I read many trip reports before taking the plunge. As WSaged advised- it really is different every time. You have received great advice so far and the fact that you find lab stuff fun will help. As for the "alien entities and such" . . .

. . . microscopes & telescopes revealed stuff which our ancestors just couldn't have imagined. I find that DMT reveals stuff which my mind just couldn't have imagined.

Its not as scary as you might think it feels really natural. SWIM started by smoking lower doses and experiances pre breakthrough effects there very pleasent. But breaking through is very interesting its basicly what you could imagine it to be except with a 4th dimension klidiaskope vibration effect. The first time SWIM broke through he had contact with two praying mantis creaters and a spider with lots of crazy tenticles...Go for it deff the best drug out there imo
 
Also check out the files section here, it has alot of really cool info related to dmt. If your growing mushies then an extraction should be no problem for you.

I haven't been able to get into my stash (or do anything really) for a few months untill last night and i decided to try a meth pipe out that i picked up, kinda hard since i havent smoked meth! It left my tongue and upper lip feeling really wierd and i could tell it would take some practice to perfect so i think i'm sticking with the bong leafbed method. Some screens and spice sprinkled between a few layers of your favorite herb and your good to go my friend.
