Hi there and thanks already!

I got all questions answered meanwhile except one

For StB I found explanation why to add more lye the necessary (cell break up or similar I think)

But for an A/B MHRB extraction isn't it better to just barely hit PH14?

And I really didn't find answer to it or maybe did oversee it.
Even pH 12 or so would do - this is the pKₐ of DMT.H⊕ (8.68) plus a few extra units for more complete deprotonation, as well as to take into account the shift of equilibrium that occurs once the freebase gets removed frob the aqueous phase. This pertains to the fact that DMT is 50% deprotonated at a pH of 8.68.

Ok, thank you.
Is there an article or link to get the knowledge behind.

The plain math up ~12 I get, and pka I assume is equivalent to let's say boiling point (temperature)
Just for getting loose from the material into the phase.

Leads me to the question when I got freebase crystals, can I still do a water wash dissolve again in Naptha?

Just read the wikipedia articles to start with - pKa and pH scales are logarithmic: each increment represents a 10-fold change, although in the case of pH, it omits a negative sign with respect to the exponent of the proton concentration. Thus, while at 8.68 DMT is 50% protonated, at 9.68 it will only be 5% protonated. This should illustrate how pH 14 is definitely overkill.
