Hum, so I was looking for DMT information and ended up here. I'm from Spain (south of Spain) and interested, obviously, in knowing myself a little bit more. Sorry if I make some mistake writing but it's not my native language.

I've never tried DMT but I'll do it when I have the opportunity. I've already tried Salvia Divinorum, which made me go to another dimension where I saw thing that can not be written. Words are insignificant.

Hi Astaroth! I am a pretty new firsthand student of DMT but I have had an intellectual interest in it for almost half of my life.

Again, not sure what route of application you are planning on taking but I would suggest smoking a little bit first. Though salvia is the sort of introspective inner thing that DMT is, but DMT is much more intense. It's the first entheogen I've encountered where it felt like the stimuli was coming from my consciousness instead of just being filtered through own everyday perception.

What I'm trying to say is it can actually be anywhere from enlightening to unsettling to downright disturbing. That is why I ingest smoking it first. It's not always a good trip but I liken it to some kind of shamanic building up/breaking down rite of passage, a modern day "wounded/pierced man" if you will. It doesn't always take you where you want to go so at least when you've smoked it you can tell yourself it will be over in 10 minutes if you aren't having a positive time. However, I always am left feeling overwhelmingly good and perceptive afterwards, with some slight faint visuals that manifest randomly the rest of the day (but not in a distracting way).

And respect the substance, it's not a party drug. You need to do it in a quiet and relaxed place! I'm sure personal preference varies, but I like complete silence and almost complete darkness.

I would prefer smoking it I think. Now I'm looking the wiki and wow, there's a lot of information there. And yeah, sure, I always do this in a calm room, relaxed and only with a smooth background music.

Oh yes, be sure you have your smoking method down right, too. My friend and I wasted a bit at first not knowing what to do with it. We've been using a nasty bulb pipe (that I don't like people seeing because it's basically a meth pipe and I don't want folks getting the wrong idea) but I've heard that there is a method using a test tube (am currently assembling materials) and perhaps an even better method using a glass bottle and steel wool called "The Machine" (it can be googled). The usual smoking methods of herbs and solids (i.e. hash pipes, water pipes, most vaporizers) are extremely ineffective, even if sprinkled on top of oregano or what have you. Remeber, vaporization is the key!

NEVER heat the substance directly. The powder liquifies and the vaporizes just being held somewhat close to heat. Inhale very deeply and hold it in for 15-20 seconds. I suggest taking one or two good inhalations then just reflect on it for maybe 30 seconds. I hold the lighter under the pipe bulb for a few seconds until I can see vapor swirling in the ball portion (which you may be able to imagine is ultra neat looking after a hit or two)

If you can still count to 30 then you may take another hit.

I've found smoking too quick and coming up too fast can be a little alarming.

What do you mean by heating the substance directly? I'll need to improvise a vaporizer then; I've been using a bong with Salvia.

Well, if you use the 'meth' style pipe you simply hold flame under the bottom of the bulb. I don't even let the flame touch the glass, just hold it close. The powder will liquidize then vaporize.

Salvias technically okay that way I suppose.
