Hi everyone,
I've been looking at this site for about two years now and have never been disappointed by the threads here when I was looking for some sort of information, so I decided to become a member so I could be more involved in it. Everyone seems very friendly and interesting.

Just thought I'd tell a little about myself. When I was 16 I first tried shrooms which helped me quit smoking soon after. My interest only grew from there. Currently I have a serious interest in salvia that I am exploring. I love discussion about psychedelics and hallucinogens so this seemed like a great place to be.

I hope I don't disappoint everyone here!

im sort of new here to. well actually been a member for about a year. only today i have started to post. mainly because i only heard about dmt about a year ago and have been researching and trying different extractions etc. i have only had a handful of journeys so far with mushrooms salvia dmt and ayahuasca. this forum is great i have learnt a massive amount of stuf. not just about different substanses but about chemistry also.

good that you quit smoking while still young. i didnt really get a proper mushroom experience until i was 26. I had quite a powerful experience which actually helped me get off a 10 year cigs and weed problem. i now have not smoked weed or cigs in over 14 months. not that i am anti cannabis now. i will again someday smoke it. but for now im happy off it. i was abusing it tbh.

i tried salvia once. if im honest i realy didnt like it. it was realy dark experience for me compared to tryptamines. i didnt like the sweating either or prickly heat sensation. because of this i have not tried it again. i dont have any lasting negative effects from it. these are just my experiences. i have a friend who seems to realy enjoy it. he says i didnt have a good enough dose to fully experience it. he told me you dont realy get the prickly feeling at high doses as you can go quite far out.

what are your thoughts on this. is it something somone should give more than 1 chance?

Salvia is definitely a different type of trip than you get with other entheogens. I wouldn't call it a dissociative cause its not like DXM or PCP (I've never actually tried PCP but I'm going off what I've heard), but it definitely has some of those same type of effects. And your friend was absolutely right about being able to go far out at high doses; I've been able to go farther out on salvia than on a dmt breakthrough.

Because of how intense it is, you need to be doubly careful about setting and mind set. Its best to do it in a calm situation with good friends that are trustworthy and supportive. The worst places are at loud parties, with unfamiliar people, and moving vehicles (worst experience ever). Dose is tricky too and if you shoot too high, your in for a bad time.

I personally think you should give it another try. For a lot of people (most people even) it's a drug they will never like but I never think you should write anything off after just one try. If it was really bad and you liked nothing about it don't do it again, but if you think you could learn to enjoy it I think you should give it another shot. I find salvia to be so interesting because of how unique it is.

IMO a good dose for a beginner would be anywhere from .05 to .1 g of 10x leaf. Higher than that can be really scary.

I've only been a member around here for around a year or so, but like yourself, was a lurker for quite some time :thumb_up: haha

This place is definitely amazing.

I myself have had a rather colorful history with Psychedelics.
Starting research into mushrooms/Peyote at a young age.
First true experience was with around 6g or so of mushrooms.

I spent some time involved with Research Chemicals (what people in my area call, "acid", which is not the case what-so-ever)

Moved on to DMT, been there since.



Mushrooms and DMT are definitely my Psychedelics of choice.

Doing the research to have your own substances is well worth the time.

My psychedelic experience began pretty early too. I smoked pot from the summer between 7th and 8th grade and got into psychs when I was a freshman in high school. At that time me and the 9th and 10th graders would drink cough syrup and eat morning glory seeds. It was around here that I started smoking consistently too. In December of 10th grade I tried about 8-9g of mushrooms thinking I was just about invincible. It went pretty badly but kinda peaked my interest in psychedelics.

After that I started taking pretty much any psychedelic I could. I covered acid (LSD that is, probably some RCs people call acid too), mescaline, ketamine, molly, MDA, and a handful of 2C's by the time I graduated. In college I came across salvia on a bus trip to a swim meet when I vaped about a 1/4 gram of what I later found out was 60x extract. I didn't touch that again for a while.

In a few years, after the statute of limitations has run out, I might be able to admit that I spent a good deal of my freshman and sophomore years of college using the ergot spores I stole out of my orgo class to synthesize LSD that I gave out to a good deal of people at a serious detriment to my finances and grades. I also finally had my own credit card and PO box in college so I ordered all the RCs that I could get my hands on. I did DMT for the first time as a junior and that was something like I had never experienced before. The concept of breakthroughs was so interesting to me that I wound up going back to salvia as that was the only other drug I'd really read about breakthroughs in. I'm so glad I did as they it is probably the most novel drug Ive ever touched.

Currently I'm doing grad work in biochem and am interested in the transportation of bio-synthetic pathways to new plants (and animals???). Someday (very far off most likely), I would love to find a way to design custom pathways to bio-synthesize currently man made chemicals (all natural LSD is my ambition ).

Anyway, that got to be a lot longer than I expected it to be. So now my psychedelic history and a good deal of my drug history is up there for everyone to see as well as my goals and ambitions.

I have a lot of theoretical knowledge and even a fair amount of practical knowledge with a small number of substances. However, there are a huge number of things many people here have more knowledge on than me (growing methods for example) that I'd love to learn more about. Also, I have seen tons of interesting extraction methods that I never could have thought of myself. I want to be able to participate in discussions about things like these.

Also I think I have a fair amount of knowledge and have made a fair number of mistakes. I'd like to share some of these too

Hello there fellow cosmic traveler. I'd like to tell you about what led me here if you don't mind. I've been interested in mushrooms for a long time. Over here where I live everyone is always smoking weed & I never really got into it because I've always believed that there were more things to life then weed. So last year on the second to last day of school for seniors (we still had about a week of school, but that week was used for practicing our graduation ceremony) the opportunity came & I got some mushrooms from a friend. He gave me the mushrooms on the last day of school for me & I ate them about 20 minutes before my last class was going to end. I had the most amazing experience that day. I was so full of love & happiness & for me that was really what I've always wanted growing up. So anyways, I was with some girls that would hang around with me & my friends & I remember kicking a water bottle that was frozen. & it was at that moment that I felt connected with the universe & we were all one. When we finally left the achool, me & my friend walked to his house & we went to his room. We both had our yearbooks & I was looking at it & reading what people had wrote on my yearbook. Tears started running down my face & they weren't tears of sadness. They were tears of joy. As I was reading I thought to myself about the horrible mistakes that I've done & that I can't forgive myself for doing, & then I felt what I describe as empathy in a spiritual form. I isolate myself a lot at my house, that's why I think I don't have good communication skills & why I don't feel empathy to the level that everyone else does. I cried & I felt empathy & I felt loved which is something I can't remember feeling growing up.I was happy that we were graduating & I knew that I might not see some people from high school anymore. I was proud of everyone for making it this far in their lives & I remember thinking to myself while looking at the yearbook that some of my classmates are going to be doctors, lawyers, police men, teachers, we were all going to do great things in our lives & I wished everyone the best in their futures. Me & my friend later went to go eat with my other friends at Sakura Buffet. That's how I spent my last day of high school. That experience opened up my eyes to the power of psychedelics. Sorry if it was to long. I think this should go on Shroomery lol

All everyone has is weed in my area and those hard drugs, but to me that's not good enough. I've just had experience with mushrooms. That same year I got 2 eighths and I had a bad experience from one of them. That didn't stop me though :d I ended up growing some Golden Teachers and had like 3 more trips from that, so a total of 6 times I think. I haven't had a psychedelic experience since October, but I'm hoping that would change with DMT soon

i agree with this totaly. and also before you even try to vape some spice i would definitly research vaping techniques and devices.

i wasted so much spice at the begining. my first dose was 35mg (to much) but because my technique and device was no good i kept wasting lots spice only to get light visuals and sub breakthrough experiences. these were not bad though. just not like what i had read about a breakthrough. i must have tried 35mg about 7 times before i read about techniques.

1st time using the machine with 35mg and boy was i in for a shock! :shock: a good one tho just totaly insane and unexpected. and no mushroom trip or lsd from the past had prepared me for this.

if i could go back personaly id build the machine and work my way up the dose starting at 5mg then 10 15 etc.

i can breakthrough using 25mg in the machine. i plan on moving up to 30mg soon. 35mg 1st time was too much for me.

My first time with mushrooms really had a profound effect on me too. Something about the way it makes you feel in that unexpected way just puts everything in a wonderful perspective. Probably not the best wording, but its the best way I can think of to say it.
