I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing my friend just did... He was doing his normal technique for the MHRB extraction, collected the first 2 pulls, and evaporated them down to 20% of their normal volume.
During this entire evaporation phase there was absolutely NO DMT smell coming from the naphtha. None at all. He's done this a few times, and each time he's done an evaporation, there's a clear DMT smell in the air.
He was quite puzzled by the seeming lack of DMT in the solvent, but he put it in the freezer anyways.
Literally, 10 seconds after he placed it in the ice bath, he noticed medium sized crystals flaking out of the mixture almost immediately. He called me up to tell me about this crazy phenomenon.
So, anyone experienced anything like this before? The cold solution has the definite DMT smell that the hot one didn't.
