“High air pressure” feeling in ears?

Hi! Just did a slight DMT trip the other day. I experienced an interesting phenomenon and just wanted to see if it is common. I felt like my ears were getting tight from high air pressure, like when you are driving up a mountain. I also felt like they were “homing in” on sounds, like the AC.

Does anyone know what this is?
