highest yield yet!!!!! ultrasonic cleaner

ok so i decided to make a diy drill stirrer, and that worked great! but i also made use of my ultrasonic cleaner!!!!!!!!

im doing cybs a/b but i use my ultrasonic cleaner throughout the whole process and the clean up is AMAZING!
i made a makeshift lid on my ultrasonic cleaner just wide and long enough for my mason jar and used my drill stirrer (will make a overhead stirrer tutorial when i recive the parts and materials, it cost less then 80$usd and can be adjustable in height)
i took a shot on using the ultrasonic cleaner through out the whole process and it definitely worked. if anyone wants pics ill post them!!!!!

Kinda. I need to do better at personal documentation of final weight and process. I found using the ultrasonic cleaner in combination with the drill stirrer a bit easier and safer, I didn't have to cap it and shake it and burp off the naptha gas or worry about over pressuring the seal on the lid or glass. I dit notice as well I had a lot more crystals than ever before!!( super happy about that)

2.5% with just the first 2 dishes letting the 3rd one go for a while to see what else drops! I don't know if that's good or average as im very new to all this but for me it's a personal best

instead of hand mixing the naptha, i leave the jar in the ultrasonic cleaner and use the drill to mix the naphtha into the soup.

That’s a great yield since it’s that high it makes sense to measure the success of your method and you could try to set up an AB experiment. Where you compare two extraction methods on the same scale and material used, and see if there’s a significant difference in yield, but also in ease of execution and color or consistency before and after secondary re-crystallization.

I could do another run but using just the heat bath and hand shaking it and compare, but that's how I was doing it before I added the drill stirring and ultrasonic, the results were no where near what I just got. When I have the time I will do a run the way I used to and do another ultrasonic/drill run and make a report on the findings

If you could post a pic or two, I'd like to see your setup. What's the drill mixing paddle made of?

I wouldn't think the drill stirring would be necessary in addition to the ultrasonic action.

the ultrasonication would be pretty well muffled by the bark, imagine it was UV light instead, youd have to stir it to ensure good exposure

Hi. I was planning on getting an ultrasonic mixer.
I already have an overhead stirrer.
I was wondering... do you apply it when you have the solvent?
Is it safe? Can a 500W ultrasonic mixer make ignition with the solvent and start a fire or something?
