HORIZON: What is reality... Very interesting

Migrated topic.

Very interesting program this evening on BBC2 called "Horizon: What is reality", started @ 10pm.
came across it as it was starting, quite by chance.

It concerned the nature of reality and some theory's there of. It was very interesting & informative
with definite links to what is often discussed here on the Nexus.

The Large Hedron Collider is mentioned and also the possibility to change something's reality simply
by looking at it ???

Peace

i'll grab it tomorrow! ;)

There is some realy awesome sujects covered by Horizon every week, did you see last weeks What is One Degree? I was quite amazed how close they got to absolute 0.

Nah I tried it doesn't appear to work in the States

All is not lost. This person is quite good at posting current episodes of Horizon, besides you will never see them all, there are too many!

enjoy.

What is reality should be posted soon enough. It was an excellent show last night; if it really happened.

This is just my 2cents but... don't you notice every now and then the bcc throws out another one of these science doc's that are just a little bit too watered down. They claim bizarre things about science yet... its all regular stuff. Maybe just dumbed down... i just feel slightly offended when i watch these. This one was the same.

My 2c.

I feel the same way. Last weeks temperature one, with Ben Miller, was surprisingly good though.

Personally I really enjoyed this, found it fascinating. It described the double-slit experiment and the potential implications of it in a very clear, concise way I found. I think the BBC have to water these types of things down a little as they are for general public consumption. I still appreciate them though. Anyway this particular quantum doppelganger of myself needs some sleep in my holographic bed in this particular universe. 😉
