I was getting ready to do my first extraction of DMT the next few days. At first my plan was to make some freebase and to smoke that. But I read a lot of stuff around here that it is kind of an art to smoke freebase. I tought about using an oil rig. But some of the dudes round here said it could be wasteful!?
Well when it comes to make some changa i think about doing it with acetone.
The thing is that I will try to extract the freebase from 100g MHRB. So let's say (optimistic) i'll get 500mg of freebase out of it, into how much herbs would you guys infuse it to make changa. A friend of mine always does a 1:1 ratio. But I want to smoke it in a bong...so if the ratio is 1:1 and i want to smoke 30mg i only got 60mg of changa in my bong. Sounds pretty much too less for me. I mean i want to get enough vapor and i want the herbs to burn properly.
Wouldn't it be good to take..Lets say...2.5g of herbs and infuse them with 500mg of freebase? This 5:1 ratio would lead to 0.18g of changa in my bong if i want to smoke 30mg of DMT. I think that would be enough to burn down properly and to get a good amount of vapor!?

Not to be nit picky, but in order for your blend to be changa, it has to have some sort of MAOI in it as well (DMT/leaf/MAOI). DMT infused onto leaf is just enhanced leaf, unless that leaf is b. caapi (which serves as leaf and MAOI all in one, but that is a story for another day).

As for ratios for enhanced leaf, 1:1 is easiest for the sake of dosing. If you make a 5:1 blend as you suggested, you may end up being underwhelmed because the DMT may not spread evenly over all the extra leaf. By all means, you could still try it out for yourself and see what happens and how you feel about it, but speaking from personal experience, 1:1 has always worked well for me and many others here. You could always "sandwich" your 1:1 enhanced leaf with a bit of some sort of herb to make the bowl a bit bigger.

^^^ I agree, the 500mg of spice would be spread out pretty thin amongst 2.5g of herbs. A 1:1 ratio is good for enhanced leaf and for changa and is perfect for the bong.

Yeah okay. ..so i'll keep it with the 1:1.
Well I don't know my exact blend yet. But I also tought about giving a bit of syrian rue to it. I also got passionflower here. I'll see. But one thing is new for me...because you said i need some MAO to make changa. That sounds like without it it would not work. There are plenty of changa blends without MAOs in it. I tought if somebody puts some sort of MAO in it it will lenghten the experience. But without it it would also work ! Am I wrong ? And the other thing is..If I want to add some MAO it's enough to put the passionflower leafs in my blend right ? Because I saw some guys talking about extracting harmalas from syrian rue and so on...
My plan would be to enhance some herbs with freebase dmt and mixing it with passionflower leafs. Or could i put the passionflower into my blend which is going to be enhanced?
 
What I was trying to say is that there is a difference between "changa" and "enhanced leaf".

DMT + herbs + MAOI = Changa

DMT + herbs = Enhanced leaf

Passion flower will work and would be considered changa if that is the leaf you choose to use. Enhanced leaf will work all by itself as well, sorry if that was confusing earlier.

Okay...so I think I will try to do enhanced leaf. Without the MAO in the first run. But If I decide to use the passionflower also...would i have to infuse my herbs and then add the passionflower or should the PF also be infused?

If you have enough materials, you could make 2 batches, one with passionflower, one without. Test them both and see which one you like better. Just an idea!
