How Can People Go Crazy On Psychs?

By go crazy I mean they smoke 5 meo dmt and 20 seconds later they are screaming and turning round and round in the floor, breaking everything in the room, just completley in agony, totally nuts.

I just dont get it. If they have broken through how do they still have control of their body?

Can this happen with the classic psychedelics or does it only happen with 5 meo and salvia and weird RC's?

Trip sitters feel free to share stories.

How can they scream for 10 min straight? Is it just to get attention, like 12 year olds getting drunk? I mean 10 min straight of screaming? I dont get it at all.

I don’t quite understand this either. But I also don’t get how people have “bad” trips. The closest I’ve had to a “bad” trip is having to fight off nausea. I feel so great and full of awe and childish love when I take psyches. But I’ve never done 5meo or any rc’s either.

Ive had bad trips, but I dont know how you go from "Damn this sucks" to "I am gonna thrash and scream." But have also never done 5 meo or salvia.
 
I recently witnessed someone totally lose their shit and freak out on a cannabis edible. This was a totally "normal" person with no history of mental illness. They just couldnt handle how out of control things felt and got stuck believing that they had permanently lost their mind. The next morning they were back to baseline.

I'm not sure about DMT, but I think that with the classic psychedelics it is easily possible for someone to have a panic attack while tripping. Really it could happen to anyone, regardless of how experienced they are, if the dosage and "set and setting" align in that way. If you dose way higher than expected and terrible shit starts happening around you (someone gets assaulted, hit by a car, etc., etc.) then the trip can start to go dark and terrifying regardless of who you are. To a person who is unfamiliar with psychedelics just tripping for the first time can trigger terror in some people. Psychedelics arent for everyone IMO.

So I'm not certain that my personal anecdote hits your bullseye right on, but I think that its at least in the same corner of the bar as the dart board.

Many years ago, I was in my very early 20's. At any rate I was spending time experimenting with higher and higher doses of mushrooms on a regular basis. I always had reasonably positive experiences during that stage of my life and never really lost control of my body or emotions or my mind to terribly.

One evening, I had eaten a large dose and was spending it mostly by myself, at home, mostly outside. I was smoking some herb, I'm sure. But that's it. Lots of mushrooms and some herb.At some point I felt the need to poop and went inside and sat on the toilet. Next thing I know there is a banging on the door, it was my brother asking me if I was okay. I opened my eyes "did I fall asleep?" I was on the floor wedged between the counter and the toilet with my pants fully removed. The shower curtain had been ripped down, the toilet seat and seat cover had been torn from the toilet bowl. Much of the contents of the counter top had been tossed around the bathroom. And I have no idea what happened.

I've never smoked 5meo. Salvia ever made me go crazy, though Ive seen a roommate get up and run across the room and stop in a doorway, very confused and blank looking after a hit of salvia concentrate. At any rate, high doses of phychs can cause otherwise normal people to do some weird shit that they have no memory of.

I tend to discount the cry for attention explanation.

. I can understand people completely losing grasp on reality. Like the guy on lsd who ran into someone’s house and took their dog to save it because he believed the house was on fire(when in reality he was just hallucinating very strongly, the house was not on fire lol)... I’ve had similar experiences where I was completely convinced of things that weren’t happening. But as far as going crazy and destroying a bunch of sh*t... idk. I’m not saying it’s not possible because your emotions do get stretched to the extreme on most psychs and I know you can be convinced of things that were only happening in your head but I definitely think some people also get very extreme on their own accord. People are crazy, and some people just like attention. My overall response is maybe in some extreme cases people genuinely go nuts. I also think there are idiots out there that do stupid sh*t then attribute it to psychedelics as an excuse. Idk though. Anyone else got any good input on this?
 
Lover: your salvia story of your friend reminds me of this time my buddy smoked salvia. He was sitting on the couch and started crawling backwards with a scared look. He fell off the back of the couch and kept crawling backwards. When he came to, he said he had been in a game show, in which he had answered a question incorrectly, and lost the game. And this apparently meant the world was gonna end. :p :)

And after reading back through this, I want to restate; I can’t relate to those people. I do understand though. Everyone has a different inner working, different baggage, different perspectives. My brother gets pretty loopy the once in a blue moon he partakes in cannabis.
 
Anyone who I have witnessed "go crazy", which I would much prefer to call loosing grasp with reality, having a panic attack, or something similar, has not had hardly any memory of the experience after and certainly does not remember what their physical body was doing. I think people who loose it like this are in no way attention seeking or even fully aware of what they are doing. This, to me, seems to be much more of a bodies natural response to a terrifying/new situation. I have also only witnessed this with relatively new psychedelic users. This may be what makes it hard for one to understand if they are relativity comfortable in an altered state.
 
Once upon a time, I took a hit of LSD at a friend of mine's house around 8pm or so, and the next thing I knew, I was suddenly standing in a store near my house 30 minutes down the road from my friends, holding a 12 pack of beer. I had literally blinked and it was hours later, and for all I knew, I had literally teleported there instantly. The guy behind the counter eyed me suspiciously and asked "Where the hell have you been, buddy?" I stood there in awe for a second, realized that I was holding beer and asked the guy what time it was, to which he responded, "You're not buying that beer." meaning it was at least past 2am. I have no idea to this day what happened that night and I don't drink beer often and was a very experienced psychonaut. I know this isn't really an answer to the question posed, but hopefully an insight. Sometimes, the lights are on, but we simply aren't home.

WHat you are describing here, is a trance state. SOme may say they fall unconscious and an entity took over their body for a temporary moment.
ANother cartesian interpretation is the subconscious took over liek when you are sleep walking or even sleep talking and do things while asleep.
I have been there on Salvinorin, on 5 MeO DMT I fell down but ended up laughing on the floor when resurfacing to Earth.
I think it is also a very common occurence in deliriant like Datura but can also happen with dissociative, especially Phencyclidine ( PCP) and analogs ...
About the "subconscious or "entity" effect, I have two theory myself : this could me memory and synthesis stored in the akashic records, or this also could be microbial life on us managing more to control ( it always does to some more or less strong extent ), a bit like when Cordyceps sinensis or cordyceps militaris are taken over a silk worm body and use it like a muppet.

Be Safe and Avoid Deliriants. Also low to moderate 5 MeO DMT dose have also a lot of therapeutic potential to me.
 
By what I've personally experienced and what my shaman told is that there's a total disconnection between the phisical and astral body/soul/or whatever you wanna call it.
On my first trip my body seemed dead (i set up a camera to look at it after) my body was doing the minimum efert to stay alive and in my trip i was floating all over the place in some deep space and having the feeling i was falling while i was going up.

And on my second trip i remember absolutely nothing but for 5 minutes my body was trying to do cartwheels, standing up and even washing my face and drinking water from an invisible river.

After this experience i wanted to learn more and be able to helping other people so i offered my assistance to the shaman he agreed and one guys body was motionless but when he came back he said that he felt like he was burning alive he even excused himself for yelling all the time and rolling all over in agony, but really he didnt even move a muscle.

This helps in nothing to you question but i found it super interesting.
There was also a lady that smoked stood up and during the hole trip she was doing some sort of yoga posses with a smile from side to side
 
What you are talking about is indeed disturbing to witness and seems traumatic for the person going through it, but as one of those people that tends to move or scream on breakthrough doses of (the)DMT(s), I can say that it is anything but what it looks like. Bad trips are indeed somewhat of a myth- I have experienced one and it was a negative mind loop characterized by paranoid hallucinations derived from my poor set and setting. Other trips in which I have been forced to look at troubling aspects of my self have been difficult, and are what most people are scared of when they speak of bad trips, not the dreaded mind-loop.

On 5meoDMT, I have screamed so loud as to have completely lost my voice for over a week. On n,n DMT I often go into fits of glossalolia and auto-asanas. My theory on this is that it is a process related to (kundalini, chi, autonomic nervous system, IDK) in which energetic channels within my physical body sort of "burn out" (impurities, kinks in the channel, IDK)to allow a better flow. My esoteric body is often quite polluted when I do decide to trip.

My lifestyle often sees my body rather torqued after a period of time in which I neglect certain aspects in favor of surviving, and when I do trip, it is partly to make up for that abuse.
