How does one appear whilst on DMT?

Migrated topic.

I would like to know what I can expect to look like whilst under the influence of the spice. I will partake in my first experience with someone present to ensure I don't harm myself accidentally. I am concerned about how I might appear to my sitter, I don't want them to think I'm in physical peril! So it would be great to know how impaired I will be physically so I can warn my sitter and avoid putting them through stress. Many thanks.

The vast majority of the time, if you break through, your body will just relax into a slump or go a little rigid. If you don't break through, you'll pretty much have full motor control. Sometimes you might roll around some, and people can get rather vocal throughout the experience. Breathing can appear rather shallow, so that's nothing to be worried about.

You'll look like sleeping, not really moving too much. there will most likely be increased heart rate and possibly heavier breathing. Seminal emissions and defecations during the trip are rare if not unheard of, so no extra caution is strongly advised.

Ok, thanks. That's quite reassuring. About the vocal part, is this involuntary? I'm usually very non-vocal. I can't imagine blurting out and making exclamations during the trip, should I expect to? Or is it because the experience is so startling, something must be said? Will I be able to control my speech?

<edit> Wow thanks for your quick replies everyone.

The involuntary vocalisations tend to come afterwards, or in the peak of a non-breakthrough, and tend to resemble the phrase "Holy shit!"

Your sitter should also be warned that you MAY HAVE A DOOFUS-LIKE GRIN through large portions of the experience. It will be DANGEROUSLY SILLY and they may be tempted to smack you just to get the damn thing off your face.

As long as they aren't upset by either of the above, things should go smoothly.

If you are lucky, YOU may actually perceive a bit more about what your body ACTUALLY looks like.

Currents of energy washing through the hands like clouds blowing through the sky... glowing glyphs and eyes all over the skin, similar to the patterns in trees... what a miracle.

To everyone else, at the very worst, you will look asleep.

But now what is sleeping, really? ;)

I also second the grin. :D

right on :p two breakthoughs i was lucky enough to sitter there was a lot of giggle envolved. I guess ppl just tend to be very very happy or in a heavy trnce.
But if your sitter has never done DMT i would instruct her/him to be real quiet during your experience. A bad sitter that keeps laughting at you, that you r not confortable with or that is over preocupied with what is happening to you will just ground you up, not allowing you to fully experience your first time.

Hope you a glorious journey :D

Of course, this presupposes you're not being raped by alligator men or surgically dissected by a team of emotionally indifferent mantoid lab workers - in which case there may be screaming.

My dog has witnessed alot of his doggie friends smoke spice, and if you do it right, you fall into a trance with your eyes closed and bodily functions severely inhibited.

I've had the doofus grin. I can't remember where I heard this from (I don't think it's my own idea), but I believe that under the influence of DMT, your face uses certain muscles it doesn't normally use to convey emotions you don't normally have.
