How long do bark pieces take to fully break down?

I couldn't powderize my acacia, so I froze it and broke it into as small pieces as I could. There are still some sizable chunks, and I'm just curious how long it'll take for them to break down? I went overboard with the lye, but they're still hard. Its been sitting for a day now. I know its early, but I wanna know how long I should wait before I start doing pulls.
