ive read 5 weeks but i think that was with prozac and moclobemide. I assume you are talking about a rima like b.caapi so you could probably shorten that time frame but a doctors advice would certainly be better than mine. Also note that there should also be a gap of 2 weeks or so with starting ssri's after taking a maoi. Hope this helps.
Thanks DeMenTed, i was thinking about asking my doctor as i have no problems discussing such things with her, thought id post on here to see if anyone had any knowledge first though.
Corpus Callosum, I'm currently taking Cymbalta or Duloxetine, has different names in different places.
Duloxetine should not be used with MAOIs or within at least 2 weeks of discontinuing a MAOI; according to its datasheet, MAOI may be commenced 5 days after stopping treatment with duloxetine.
Interestingly, duloxetine is metabolised by CYP1A2 (the expression of which is increased by certain harmalas) and CYP2D6, the expression of which is reduced by certain harmala alkaloids.
Thanks for the info the info, and yeah that is pretty interesting, think im gonna have to look into that. I have seen you post on quite a few things and always liked the little blurb bit that is below your posts as i know that feeling. Is that something you wrote or is it a quote from someone?
Oh really, Henry Rollins, always thought black flag were better before he became front man but that's quite profound what he said,m and yeah resonates with me on probably the same level. Cheers.
If anyone doesn't mind, I have the same question but for the SSRI Lexapro (escitalopram). Even with my limited experience with DMT it has been more beneficial than ~6 months on the SSRI, plus ayahuasca and traditional changa are nice incentives to revert to a more natural brain chemistry.
with the meds should have come a long paper, each med is different, look up the half life of the medicines presence in your body then check if it causes a temporary change to a section of your body, if it does then you dont need to worry about this but if its irreversible then look up the amount of time it takes for that enzyeme or nerve or what ever is being effected to be replaced.
the short answer is that 90% of the stuff is out of your body after two weeks, if it altered something it will mostly take a month to be replaced and if you have been taking a drug for a prolonged period of time dont switch until you have had two to three weeks.
the other rule is that if you took a drug one off (like lets say you were given a drug took it then looked it up and realized what it was and then did not take it again) then you should give yourself more than three days.
