how many grams in a tbsp? (mhrb powder)

i have no scale yet, so i made a brew with a tablespoon, and i would like to know how many approximate doses it is.. (i thought it would only be one, but apparently a tbsp of sugar is about 13g, so i don't want to overdose myself)

Side Question:
after brewing, reducing, and filtering, i let my brew sit for a few days, and there is a pretty decent amount of sediment at the bottom. can this be filtered off, or is it alkaloid-rich??

Im sure you'll be fine on the dosage but you might be in for a surprise! Invest in a scale!

And no the sediment that gathers at the bottom contains little actives. I would filter it out with a T-shirt or something.
Some people choose to mix it up and drink it but I'm sure it would taste a lot worse.

The volume has nothing to do with the weight tho. It all depends on how dense the powder is/was.
Btw how did you manage to get away with powder? It seems like that would have been difficult to strain.

no more difficult than straining anything else.
and it was not densely packed into the tablespoon so if anyone with a scale were to measure out how much fit in a tbsp i am sure it would be about the same (or close enough).
as far as straining goes it works the same as straining anything else out (best way i have found is to have unfiltered brew in a mason jar with lid off, but thread screwed down around t-shirt, then pour the liquid out into a second container), only real difference is that the t-shirt seemed to let a fair amount of sediment in, but i will re-filter with shirt then coffee filters.
