How many of you are considering the Questionarrie when upvoting a new member.

Am curious how effective the questionarrie is. While I absolutely love it, and do NOT want to get rid of it, I do think some improvements might be help it a little bit....

For this, I'd like some of ya to answer the poll, maybe leave a comment.

So basically do you upvote based on the questionarrie. Does it help you when deciding. Do you look at it frequently, or focuse mostly on post interactions...

Thank you :)

I'll more look at the questionnaire to see whether someone is matching down to my disappointments if anything.

If people make the effort to provide good questionnaire answers they often reflect that in their interactions with the forum.

What I do think is that we should have suggestions for some updated questions to go in, and maybe scrub a few of the ones that look dated.

I haven't lately, but have in the past checked their answers if I was unsure of whether to upvote or not. I'm looking at their general attitude and attitude towards the test. I spent two weeks on the dang thing. A sprout can put a little work in, and the tone of their answers is a clue as to how much they want to be here.

I never voted based on questionnaire answers alone, but i do have a look at them before i vote and sometimes they tip the balance for me.

Forum posts and/or chat definitely have more weight for me. Yet i feel that the questionnaire sometimes reveals things that forum posts may not. I think the questionnaire is a nice complement.

Being relatively new myself, i remember the Obama seen the light thread missing most of the images, which was a bummer and made it hard to give an answer :D

usually pretty easy to assess vote based on posts once you see a few from an individual. I've looked at questionnaire answers a couple of times, but to be honest I don't really care if someone knows 5 psilocybe variants if they have a crummy attitude.

I feel the questionnaire helps new individuals understand what kind of community this is. So I always look at questionnaire before voting. Becoming a member here shouldn't be easy in my book and it's a good establishing filter. And I don't care what they know, but the effort they are willing to put in. Those that whine about the questionnaire in the questionnaire seem to fall in line with potential for being trouble often times.

One love

Thanks for the replies!

Then, do you have any suggestions on how we could improve the function, to get it a bit better then? Any ideas are welcome....

I was thinking, a message above every question (a smaller message, just a notice) that the chat is always open to newcomers, and its also a good way to get promoted and talk about entheogens and experience reports or even ask questions etc :)

This way we could advertise the chat a little bit, make it a bit moar popular, and newcomers could use it to get more exposure to the community aswell, a little more lively exposure than questionarrie...

Wacha ppls think

For new members either I vote YES or I don't vote. IMO it's fairly noticeable when a new member is a nice and kind person. I always look at the questionnaire too. When the introduction essay is very short the questionnaire speaks a lot about the attitude.

justB612, for me the chat would be wonderful but it isn't very user-friendly on mobile :(
I guess it's better on a laptop but I rarely use it.
Then there's the timezone problem. I guess many of you are from the US judging from the amount of activity on the forum. If I'm not wrong the highest activity happens late at night (UTC) for us Europeans.

We've got the green light from The Traveler to rewrite the chat, quality of life updates, everything should look the same, and function almost the same, but smoother, better on mobiles, and a such :)

I'm still a noob programmer, so this is gonna take time, by my estimates I should be done with it around winter/new years time :p

Still, I get you, those points ring true and we're working on it :D
