Could you please clarify what you are trying to do exactly? Are you trying to extract DMT from 1 gram of mimosa? If so, that would definitely be a waste of time and resources. Or maybe you meant you have a gram of DMT that was extracted from Mimosa and want to redissolve it in naphtha?
If that is the case, please take some time to utilize the search function and look up "DMT solubility" to learn and gain a better understanding of the basics. It can be found in the FAQ - under step 3 of recrystallizing. While this question has been covered a lot over the years, the general consensus seems to be: 1 gram DMT can dissolve in roughly 30-50ml of naphtha. This coincides with my own experiments and experiences.
No i dont want to extract 1 g of mimosa i got a 1l bottle and fill it whit 65g mimosa 80 ml vinegar 60g salt and 65 g lye i got a full volume of 975 ml its till the neck now i got enough space to fill 35ml of naphta but 20ml would be enough to make pulls the neck is very thin
Now what i want to now is how much naphta i need minimum to solve my 65g nicely how much dmt or mimosa solves in 1ml naphta so i can count it out i dont want to pull 10 times if 20 ml is not enough to solve my 65 in my last pulls used 50g mimosa and 50 ml naphta on a 750 volume and got all in 5-6 pulls
Okay, thank you for clarifying what you meant. Your English is good, don't worry about that.
20ml pulls will work as long as there is a way to mix it up thoroughly and retrieve it. I can't say for sure whether or not you would get it all in 5-6 pulls. 20ml is a small amount and can be a pain to deal with but other than that you should be okay to proceed.
Yes you need much less naphtha, like 20 or 30 ml but not more. That's plenty for 65 g of mimosa root bark. I use about 60 ml for 250 g extraction, but then 40-50 ml for the latter pulls and it extracts most of the actives.
I don't like playing the multiple pulls game. So I usually leave enough room for about 250 mL of naphtha (or other NPS) and get most of the alks in a single pull or two.
I've recently experimented with a "low lye" tek that yielded 1.43% on the first pull from 53.3 grams of mimosa bark.
Solubility is determined greatly on the temperature of the solvent. Higher temps will allow more DMT to dissolve into a smaller volume. Lower temperatures will cause the DMT to crash out (freeze precipitation). So if you want to ensure that you are dissolving more DMT into a small volume, you can heat the solvent. (never do this over an open flame). Heat the solvent by means of a double boiler or hot plate.
I would have to agree with the other posters, 20mL Naptha would be fine for pulling, and you can pull several times if needed anyway. Since some teks ask you to pre-evaporate anyway, you may be able to skip that step since you are only using 20mL to pull with
