How to use the VaporGenie (for Dummies)

Hello all, haha

Just joined this site. This will be my first time trying DMT.

I have a little over a gram and have attempted at vaporizing 20mg
doses in an oil burner. As expected everytime they burnt.

I at first tried with a bic lighter about an inch away.
Burnt.
Then I really babied it, went slow, noticed it turn to liquid
and then to vapor.. But even then I noticed the taste seemed
burnt.

So I have finally just decided to get the vapor genie.
The guides however seem to just confuse me and often seem contradictory
and if I can I'd like to avoid wasting anymore spice so if anyone has
had success I'd love to hear your thoughts on the VaporGenie.


One guide said instead of the screen I may need a ceramic pad.
If so what ceramic pad and I have heard that you need to melt it into the pad..

Where do I hold the lighter, what kind, how far?

I am so inexperienced at smoking in general but
definitely don't want to just abandon hope considering
I have came this far.

Vapor genie sells liquid pads, buy 6 when you get your VG. they are cheap and you can pre-load them. Theres a great thread about getting the best out of your VG in the 'smoking' section, its what helped me. I found a great torch lighter(blue flame) at the gas station for 4.00, you need one that will work pointing straight down to use the VG.
