Hydrophobic Pockets in Acetate/Sodium Carb paste?

So I had read some posts about how it's not good to freebase spice in vinegar using sodium carbonate because the acetic acid can create hydrophobic pockets that can prevent some goodies from precipitating. Today, however I also saw posts by endlessness and jamie describing using the sodium carb. paste method to freebase DMT acetate. Does one not have to worry about these hydrophobic pockets when using the paste method since the vinegar will have been evaporated first to leave the acetate wax behind?

Paste and pull BLAB method doesnt evaporate off any vinegar read it again

No need to worry about hydrophobic pockets because you are not precipitating the alkaloids, you are pulling them with IPA or acetone from a dried paste.
