I decided to go exploring on a cool quiet evening alone in my house. Alone in my room. At a time when the summer here is dying and a few motivated trees are on the verge of bursting their leaves into the vivid colors of fall.
I meditated Shamatha style for awhile then put on some low volume ambient electronica for my journey. I dimmed the lights until the room was sufficiently darkened and felt I had a pleasant environment to explore in. I vaporized approximately 35mg DMT freebase fluffiness, inhaling in a slow, controlled manner as long and deep as I could. The pleasantly warm, mothball-flavored cloud soon excited my lungs. I held my breath for what seemed like a very long stretch and my entire body became saturated with that sickening prickly pleasure. The sounds of the music elongated into taffy; gooey vibrations rising to a single elongated note. The tone of the note sounded extremely alien, but at the same time seemed to me undeniable familiar, an otherworldly siren song I am convinced I have heard many times before but always forget.
The whole environment then just exploded into a kind of hyper spatial fractal dimension. I could see empty space both folding and expanding at every point... every point a ghostly sort of origami lotus mostly clear in color but luminescent and connected to every other lotus in every other spatial point. Each point was opening and closing into impossible geometries and dimensions. Though it was late evening after sunset and I had darkened the room beforehand the combined luminosity of the spatial display made it seem like early afternoon.
I remember lying back and needing to close my eyes because of the intensity but by the time my "head" hit the pillow I was gone (gone from wherever I started from that is)! I was just awareness in an expanse of unbelievable brightness and complex transitioning colors. Definitely LOTS of shiny plastic yellows with some alternating gems of brilliant rubies and sapphire popping in and out of existence. The colors felt very intense, so vibrant and bright and shining right through my being! At some point out of the space a form grew, appearing from what seemed like far away or maybe from a very small size (?). Of course I can't fully describe it but the feeling I got was "bug" or "insectoid". It's essence was constant transformation and it had what appeared to be morphing alien symbols on its "body". At first I thought it was just transient fractal like background noise but when I would focus my awareness elsewhere in the environment it would move over into my line of focus and display beautiful moving patterns and symbols to get my attention (not unlike squid or octopus bioluminescence but not really that at all just a "feeling" of that).
So realizing my stupidity at not realizing this might be some kind of entity I gave it my full attention right away. It hovered/swam very close and seemed to be very interested in me... I know I was suddenly very interested in it! There was a familiarity about the whole scenario, but everything so unbelievable at the same time! The "buggy" thing itself also seemed familiar, though it was constantly morphing it definitely had a familiar essence to it, like it contained a "tag" or certain symbol that I knew well (I've since had subsequent trips where this entity/bug/form whatever it is seems to greet me).
Overall I was very happy about this buggy thing in front of me and was excited that it was there. So complex and beautiful it was almost too much to be aware of, at some point I remember being so overjoyed I was saying "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!", though for what exactly I don't remember. It maybe had legs and antennae of sorts. It definitely had some kind of proboscis or needle like appendage that it approached me with, getting really intimate with my proximity and touching my awareness. I just let it explore me to a certain depth, and when it became too intense or uncomfortable it would back off a bit. It seemed respectful of my psychic boundaries but I got no sense of any kind of emotion coming from it. It seemed neither malevolent or benevolent, just nice... just aware and interested. On my end though I was for sure experiencing some intense and positive energy during and as a result of the interaction.
At some point when it hovered very close I noticed a bright golden orb growing into the right of my awareness. The light emanating from the orb was very hot! Burning bright like a miniature sun and seeming to enter my awareness from the side all sneaky like while the buggy form engaged me. I suddenly thought "Hey! That's way too hot!" and had to whip my awareness away from the intensity. This reaction made the whole space I was in sort of disintegrate into a sea of disorganized noise and chaos, and then it slowly reorganized into its former vibrating transforming patterns. The probing buggy entity and golden orb were gone after that and as the fractal space eventually faded I realized I was back and aware of my physical body.
I just lay there breathing back into a deeply relaxed state and then meditated for awhile on the exquisite body high I was experiencing, vibrations moving up and down my body in waves of warmth. I began to stretch my arms and legs, flexing and relaxing all of my joints and muscles as it felt so amazingly good! After retrieving most of my faculties the thought that blared in my mind was "What was THAT?!"
