Hey guys, my latest batch isnt going correctly, and i think i may know why. i did the lazymans tek and got a great result the first time, but this time i mixed the bark with the water BEFORE putting lye in, and i'm thinking that may have converted all the DMT, as the solution was steaming hot... i put naphtha in and stirred for half an hour and let it sit for 24 hours covered, then i did the freez precipitation. some crystals formed, but not nearly as many as there should be.. havent tried just letting it evaporate yet, but i will.. any suggestions?

Keep pulling until it no longer yields, should be fine. Exothermic reactions do occur and they aren't anything to worry about.

Just remember to evaporate half your naptha or more before freezing, as to saturate the solution. Alkaloids crash easier this way.

That doesn't sound at all like it's wasted. DMT doesn't degrade at 50-70 °C and I highly doubt the solution got hotter than this. As the other posters already said: saturate your solution and keep doing pulls, you will get the results you want.

did you forget to offer the chicken three piece meal sacrifice before you began? sometimes people forget to ask chutulu, respect him and he bless you :D

seriously though your fine, the sequence of how things are added together will not have any effect other than possible extreme variance in local ph levels when everything is first added (ie anything the lye touch before it dissolves will be exposed to an extremely high ph for a short time)

one thing to consider is that if your trying to extract an entire pound at once is that there may not be enough surface exposure to the alkali water to properly get the desired alkaloids to come out, at those numbers you should be using more than a 5 gallon drum. try shaking it up some more and consider separating out what you have now into smaller batches (or get a larger container).

also give the shear mass of bark, give it more time to sit around, its going to take a long time till everything is out of that pound so move everything to a cast iron or stainless steel pot and let it sit for a while, say in excess of three days, occasionally stirring it, but its your decision.

have patience, for the love of bleep, both in time and the size of the project, have patience.

good luck :D

So I have it in a glass dish with an industrial fan blowing to help it evaporate now, then I'll put it in the freezer over night and if there's anywhere near as much as there was last time in it, I should have around 40 doses 😁

Good luck man, I once made that silly mistake and it actually did cost me my batch. It was boiling hot and coagulated into a thick black hot syrup. Nothing came out of the pulls, but it was only a small test batch. You'll probably get something out of a batch like that
