It does.

1. Take some DMT and dissolve it in a small amount of vinegar.
2. Dilute the solution to get a reasonable volume.
3. Add NaOH solution, and watch the precipitate form!

hm. that's what I want it to do. How does that work? Do the other substances cause the dmt to be more soluble in water or do they change the water so that the DMT is soluble in it?

buoyancy is one reason dmt does not precipitate out. humans are also insoluble in water (acidic, basic, doesn't matter) and it's a pain to precipitate them.

There is also a speculation that molecules in the composition of the basic MHRB solution provide "hiding places" for dmt hence it feels happy not precipitating.

Now you reminded me about this case of the mexican who was disposing bodies by dipping them in a tank of ulta-strong lye where they were reduced to a thin film of transparent pink gel in a matter of days!

But yes, I stand corrected, humans can dissolve in acids/base!
