If you're having trouble getting crystals from acrb, use this tek (thick-light)

As was said before, this is just an A/B tek. If cyb's tek is followed, except for the addition of a defat while the solution is still acidic, you should get much higher yields and your early pulls will be quite clean. I would suggest if you want higher yields to go with that tek. Another member used cyb's tek and got a yield of 2.85% using cyb's tek and didn't even include a defat, though if you already have an acidic solution that has been heated for a while a defat with heavy naphtha would only add about a minute to the process so I would definitely do one. Just wanted to share those results, I believe it was deadhor5 who got this yield, but I may be mistaken.

I just got done with Cyb's Tek using Acacia Confusa and I am extremely disappointed. I followed it to a T and hardly got any crystals and the ones that I did get all got swallowed up by the dark goo when I scraped my pans out.

I will be trying this Tek next in hopes that I can get something that I feel is worth smocking and not dark gooey snot... :x

yeah i just tried this with another supplier from canada that ships out of georgia. it is 100 grams and all i got crashing out was pure caramel slop. i'm gonna see if it vapes. smells just like my white goo that doesn't blast off.

*ok bigtime edit... that honey goo DEFINITELY has the dmt in it.... finally a different provider pays off. i had FULL break through on drippy honey colored snot. made a bubbling sound in my gvg... pretty funny but it has the goods! i didn't even really weigh out my hit as i was sure it probably didn't have dmt... wow it was about 100 mg and no joke.

Yeah, I got mine off the net from some supplier that shipped from Kansas and I'm not very impressed at all... Will need to try somewhere else the next time.

bobby brazil i understand your frustration at not being able to get crystals... crystals are cool. But does it have dmt at all? my problem is that i had crystals and goo but no dmt. Now i found a supplier that has goo and dmt! in the end that is all that is important, being able to fold space time and see at least 4th dimensional space time. Crystals to me are just a luxury... so did you get any dmt from your kansas man?

These babies dropped out in the Naphtha before I could decant. I'm off to work right now, but will be back in about 6-7 hrs and will decant then, hopefully with the same result. I've documented every step thus far, so I will be writing up a proper step by step after reviewing all my notes. This tek is magic!

I was wondering if one could utilize this tek for Mescaline extractions. Of course you would have to add in a salting section but would it work?

Regarding the recipe, since I am only using 100 grams of bark, can I just scale down every part of the recipe by 1/5? Ex. use 100 grams of bark, boil in 400 ml H20 and 20 mL of distilled white vinegar, reduce to 300 mL, add 30 mL of NaOH?

Finally, some last minute technicalities. After adding the lye to the acidified solution and letting it sit at room temperature to drop out the first set of crystals, what is next. Pouring off the solvent and freeze precipitating it for up to 48 hours, then taking out the crystals and replacing the used solvent into the basified solution, doing the proper amount of turns? Sorry if its already been answered but I don't want to screw it up.

This was SWIM'S first time extracting SPICE and followed the Tek exactly... except for the fact that he used food grade Phosphoric Acid, instead of Vinegar.

SWIM's current living conditions only allowed him to perform 3 pulls. From those three pulls SWIM was left with about 3.5 grams of some beautiful white spice! This was SWIM's first time ever encountering the molecule and was more than ecstatic once he woke up the next morning and saw the results.

SWIM's first trip with what he extracted was better than he could've ever imagine. SWIM looks forward to the many journeys that lay ahead with his SPICE! Thank you Thick-light for an awesome TEK that even someone like myself was able to successfully follow ; ) (SWIM has NEVER taken a chemistry class in his life). SWIM also says that half the fun for him was the entire process of researching and learning how to extract the SPICE yourself, than putting it into action! Thank you :d

Thank you! I almost peed my pants when I saw those crystals for the first time. This was extracted from shredded Hawaiian Acacia Confusa root bark by the way.

My relationship with this alkaloid has just begun. I have yet to exceed 20mg... I am finding that it doesn't take much for me to have an intense/awesome experience at a rather low dose, which is rare considering my experiences with other psychedelics. I'd love to experience the difference from a mimosa extraction, since I heard there are other alkaloids present and give a slightly different experience...??

I just saw your extraction pics. You had some pretty clean looking crystals yourself! I have yet to try the goo that I also got from my freeze precip. What different qualities can I expect from the goo than regular vaped white crystals???

I got that best results from what crashed at room temp! I also noticed that my second pull yielded a more chalky looking spice...but other than the look it was still just as good!

SWIM ended up doing this tek but the measurments were a tad different. First pull didnt seem to drop xtals at room temp except a few tiny ones. The jars were then added to the freezer after 8 hours. Those started crashing out but after leaving in freezer for 48 hours it seemed the naphtha dissolved them again or something as nothing was in the jars. SWIM collected all the naphtha after letting it get to room temp in one jar and used that for his 3rd pull. His second pull was fresh naphtha and it was decided to freeze precipitate right after siphoning. Half was in a mason jar and the other half in a small baking pan. The jar produced a decent amount of xtals and those stayed(picture) the pan however had a few xtals stuck on the bottom and the naphtha was slushy looking. You could see the crystals in the naphtha spread all about. That was put uncovered at room temp to evaporate but the crystals all dissolved back into it. The question is what should be done with that? It was put back in the freezer to see if it could be saved or something and more xtals crashed out and its slushy again.

The 3rd pull started dropping out like crazy before it could even be siphoned out and looks amazing already.

SWIM had the same problem with his freeze precip. As soon as SWIM tried to scrape up the nice looking crystals they would redissolve. The only luck SWIM had with freeze precip. was when SWIM decanted the naptha and put glass bowl upside down in freezer for additional 48hrs. After that the crystals were dry enough to scrape and easy to work with.

Overall SWIM's best results came from what dropped at room temperature after 8hrs.

the cleanest, whitest crystal i've ever had came from this tek at room temp. whenever i crash crystals in the freezer i get between 30-50 % goo that accompanies as well. I too have found pouring off all the naphtha then placing the container in the freezer upside down works well to prevent any melting.

The goo is new to me. I use to smoke caapi x10 extract on a leaf to get some maoi with my mimosa crystals. Now with acacia i have some of those qualities from the goo. The goo alone has a slow come up, almost no visuals by itself and mostly a relaxed body load. There is very little sound that comes with it unlike dmt. But together they make a terrific combination. I would say just try it as it's very subjective. But i do really like the combo.

Yes, I did a re-crystallization and my end product looked like the picture with the razor blade on page 15. I went ahead and tried some of it and it was quite potent. So I must say that it has DMT in it.

I also made some Asiauasca from it with some rue seed and had quite a happy experience. :d
