May we ask what type of healing you are seeking? My wife was seeking healing as well, so here are our experiences...
My wife and I vape spice and changa/enhanced leaf, but have not tried Aya just yet. My wife gets great personal insight and psychological and possibly physical healing off of low doses of either vaped caapi leaf+spice, changa, or enhanced leaf (we've tried the "Electric Sheep and Golden Temporal blends. You will find these recipes in the Changa section of the forum).
I generally do not get those types of experiences. But she is much farther along than myself spiritually and puts in a lot of serious work towards improving herself through spiritual decrees, affirmations, energy work, alchemy, etc. I don't know if that's WHY she has the experiences she does, but it's exactly what she wants. She generally feels like she's in the presence of her higher self/selves or other entities that love her more than anything she's ever felt before, and they as a group sometimes decide what to work on and what type of healing needs to take place. Perhaps she would get even more from Ayahuasca...but she's content with the current sessions. And with the caapi/changa (or other added MAOIs), you can re-dose and kind of "ride the wave" for quite a long session if you like, and end it when you're ready.
I'm not nearly as experienced as others on this forum, but I kind of think straight spice is not the best introduction if you're not already a psychonaut. I would suggest at least adding SOME other plant into the mix - the first post in this link will give some details:
